The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, January 3, reveals that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) put the fake Champagne to the test before Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) fished for a wild Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) story. Let’s talk about Monday’s action-packed B&B show and all the shockers it brought.
In bed at home, Brooke woke up and was stunned to see Deacon on top of the covers next to her.
Deacon told her “morning, sunshine” before Brooke panicked, but he promised nothing happened – that he just put her to bed and must’ve fallen asleep there, too.
Brooke was even more horrified to realize she’d been drinking last night, so she ranted about the vodka shots and Deacon being in her bed.
Deacon clarified that he was ON the bed and once again offered reassurance about nothing happening between them.
However, Brooke eventually remembered kissing Deacon and got confirmation from him that it happened. She freaked out and told Deacon that he couldn’t be there and that he couldn’t come over anymore.
Deacon felt that Brooke was overreacting, but Brooke felt that he was going to be a constant reminder of everything that happened last night.
Since Ridge was pulling up following a heads-up text he sent, Brooke pushed Deacon to slip out in the nick of time.
Ridge was pleased over Brooke’s lingerie and apologized for missing New Year’s Eve.
Ridge went on and on about the fashions for the prince, but Brooke zoned out thinking about all the horrible secrets she was keeping.
Ridge shared some kisses with Brooke, but he felt like something was up with her.
Brooke acted like she just didn’t like it when Ridge wasn’t there and assured him of her love. Ridge felt confident the new year would be a great one and dashed upstairs to shower in preparation for lovemaking.
Meanwhile, Brooke remained downstairs and stared at the vodka bottle. “What did I do? What did I do?!”
Brooke exclaimed to herself. She struggled to figure out exactly what caused her to drink again.
At Il Giardino, Deacon got a bottle of nonalcoholic Champagne and drank a sip to test it.
Sheila approached Deacon, who suggested it was like a veggie burger – similar but definitely not the same thing.
As Sheila quizzed Deacon about his night with Brooke, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), she found out Ridge had been away on a business trip.
Sheila said all that was needed was for Brooke to loosen up and let her hair down!
Sheila also mentioned how she went to thank Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) again for her kindness, but she brought the conversation back to Deacon’s night soon after. She was certain it must’ve been great without Ridge there.
Deacon objected to the interrogation, but Sheila could tell he seemed hungover and kept up her questions anyway.
Sheila wanted to know what really happened last night, but Deacon said nothing did and stomped off.
Sheila didn’t buy that as she smiled and looked at the nonalcoholic Champagne bottle. She told herself she couldn’t push too hard since she didn’t want Deacon getting suspicious.
However, Sheila didn’t see any other reason why Deacon would be testing the fake Champagne.
Sheila felt like Brooke must’ve indulged, and now Deacon was questioning what went down.
Sheila declared that Brooke’s world was about to turn into shambles and added that it couldn’t happen to a more deserving person!
At Forrester Creations, Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) was alone as she mulled over running to Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) on New Year’s Eve.
Carter came in and wanted to talk about the kiss they shared, so Paris admitted he was right to question her about it.
Paris talked about feeling overwhelmed since everything was happening so fast with Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) and his sudden proposal.
Paris felt Carter had been so caring – perhaps even more so after she blew up his life by revealing his affair with Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer).
Carter and Paris admired each other’s honesty before talk turned back to the kiss, which was unexpected.
After Carter pointed out that Paris and Zende were his friends, he said he didn’t want to complicate things.
