The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, May 2, reveals that Kelly Spencer’s (Sophia Paras McKinlay) secret phone call sent Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes), so Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) night was derailed.
At the cliff house on Monday’s B&B episode, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) wheeled Steffy in and gave her a warm welcome home along with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), Kelly, and Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot).
Steffy happily accepted Kelly’s gifts, but she looked sad when she caught a glimpse of the photos with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) nearby.
In a private moment with Taylor, Steffy wondered how she was supposed to do any of this without Finn.
At the cabin, Liam admitted he felt like he should be there with Steffy. Hope urged Liam to let Steffy’s family have this time with her and visit in the morning.
Soon after, Kelly managed to get her hands on Steffy’s phone and used it to call Liam.
Kelly whispered that Mommy was home and begged Daddy to come over, so Liam said that he would.
Although Liam knew Hope wanted a quiet night together, he couldn’t say no to his daughter.
Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) arrived and was curious about the Liam situation, so Hope admitted he was going to be with Steffy.
Back with Steffy, she couldn’t even imagine how scared Finn was in his final moments.
Taylor offered support and wanted to focus on the positive side of things since Steffy was home with her kids.
Steffy wondered when she should tell the children about Finn, so Taylor said they’d figure that out – but not tonight.
Next, Steffy held Hayes and thanked Kelly for taking care of her little brother while Mommy was recovering.
Steffy was also grateful to her family for rallying around her.
After Liam showed up, he got confirmation that it was OK for him to stop by.
It warmed Liam’s heart to see Steffy on her own couch and surrounded by so much love.
Liam wound up texting Hope that he was going to be a little longer at Steffy’s place.
Brooke commented on how late it was getting and reminded Hope that she was Liam’s wife.
Hope had come to accept that Liam and Steffy would always be connected.
That said, Hope mentioned overhearing more of the usual stuff at the hospital.
Hope knew Liam was probably just trying to be sweet and reassure Steffy, but it was still hard to hear that Steffy would always have a place in his heart.
Thomas stopped by to say goodnight to Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), but he didn’t realize he’d missed the text about his son’s sleepover elsewhere.
Since Thomas had overheard Hope, he took this opportunity to admit he wasn’t surprised. Thomas insisted that Liam was always going to love Steffy.
Liam knew Hope was trying to be cool, but he felt that didn’t change the fact that Liam was over there with his ex and their child.
Thomas didn’t want Hope to get hurt and hinted about her landing in the same position as Brooke: with a man whose heart was split between two women.
At the cliff house again, Liam admitted Kelly stole Steffy’s phone and asked him to come over.
Steffy laughed about that “stinker” before sending Ridge and Taylor to get some rest.
Kelly joined Liam and Steffy once she was ready for bed.
Kelly told Mommy and Daddy that seeing them together was better than all the puppies and kittens in the whole wide world, so Steffy and Liam smiled over their adorable daughter.
While Liam read Kelly a story and made sure she was asleep, Steffy once again looked distraught over all the Finn family photos.
Liam returned and suggested he might take off in a minute, but Steffy begged him not to go.
Steffy didn’t want to be alone tonight since she was facing so many firsts without Finn.
Liam knew that Finn was irreplaceable, but he wanted Steffy to concentrate on all the people she had to lean on – including him.
Liam vowed to always be there for Steffy and reached out to hold her, so Steffy was grateful he was sticking around.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Hope will face more struggles thanks to Liam and Steffy’s growing bond, so stay tuned!
