The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Tanner Novlan is OUT as Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan. Finn’s deadly exit is sparking fan outrage now that inside sources are confirming it, so let’s talk about the tragedy and B&B’s controversial decision.
Of course, many viewers are no doubt wondering what the heck the show was thinking. While the drama is appreciated and desperately needed, why go with something so permanent?
People have spent years begging for Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to get a new man – literally anyone besides Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).
B&B finally delivered in the form of a handsome doctor who treated Steffy right, but now they’re killing Finn off and once again leaving her without a devoted guy to call her own.
Even if the show wanted to tear Steffy and Finn apart, there were other ways to go about that. They didn’t have to get rid of Finn completely!
It just feels like a shortsighted move done purely for shock value and the sake of thrusting Steffy back into the same old love triangle with Liam and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).
This double shooting chaos with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) is certainly exciting, but there’s no reason why Finn couldn’t have survived along with Steffy.
Finn could’ve wound up in a long-term coma if they wanted to rest the character for a while – only for him to wake up and find that Steffy had been drawn back into Liam’s orbit.
This deadly option just feels unfair to all the Finn fans – not to mention it seems like Finn and Steffy’s whole love story has been a total waste.
What was the point if nothing was going to change and they were just going to throw Steffy right back to Liam?
That definitely seems to be the plan now, so it’s wise for fans to brace themselves for more “Steam” and “Lope” problems.
Since Finn won’t survive Sheila’s bloody blunder, viewers will have to find a way to say goodbye. We’ll deliver updates as other news comes in.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Steffy will get plenty of new material, but that won’t make many of us miss Finn any less!
