The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will demand Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) custody and stun Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) with a permanent reunion goal during the week of August 8-12.
It’s been a while since Thomas had a decent storyline, but B&B seems to be gearing up for one.
There was a time when Thomas was unstable and not in the best position to care for Douglas, but those days are behind him.
Now Thomas is ready to be a full-time father, so he’ll approach Hope about his latest plan and push her to get on board.
Thomas will have a permanent reunion goal, so it sounds like he’ll want a more even custody agreement – or perhaps for Douglas to live with him primarily.
Regardless, Thomas’ news is going to throw Hope into a tailspin.
Hope legally adopted Douglas and has wholeheartedly embraced the role of being his mom, but she may feel that role is being threatened somehow.
However, Thomas can’t stand by and accept raising his son from a distance.
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is arguably more of a father figure at this point since Douglas spends so much time in his home.
Thomas may insist he wants Douglas to grow up knowing he can rely on his true dad.
Douglas enjoys visits with his father, but Thomas will be looking for a better arrangement that’s forever.
Thomas won’t want to feel like he has to ask for time with his own son, so attorneys may end up getting involved if Hope can support his decision.
Could this turn into a real custody battle? Will Hope let the case head to the courtroom or relent before it goes that far?
No matter how this plays out, Thomas will realize he has to take action and make some changes.
Douglas is growing up fast, so Thomas needs to make his move now and avoid regrets when his son is older.
Hope may think the current arrangement is working just fine and try to talk Thomas out of changing anything, but Thomas should stand his ground!
