The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will hang up on Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) over an extra night with Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) and push this mom to her breaking point. Hope and Thomas really need to work on finding some common ground, but things are about to become more strained instead.
B&B fans know Thomas wants to be a full-time father and move Douglas in the Forrester mansion, but this is all happening awfully fast for Hope.
Of course, Hope formally adopted Douglas and is legally his mother.
Thomas was the one who created this mother-son bond – even to the point where he was making fake drawings from Douglas and insisting Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) wanted Hope to step up.
Hope can’t just turn off that maternal bond now and is having a tough time accepting the changes Thomas is demanding.
It’s easy to understand Thomas’ side as well since he’s better now and always feels like a visitor rather than a real part of Douglas’ life.
As Hope tries to come to grips with Douglas not living primarily at the cabin anymore, she might suggest a transition period.
Hope will grow concerned about Thomas taking instant control of Douglas – and he’ll prove he’s taking charge on a phone call later.
Thomas will relay the news that the Forrester family is having a special dinner, so that’ll be partly to celebrate Douglas’ mansion move-in.
After Thomas insists Douglas is staying an extra night, Hope may think they should have a conversation about this first.
Thomas will simply disconnect and do what he feels is best, so Hope will grow worried about their custody agreement being ignored.
There’s talk about the legality of all this in B&B spoilers, so Hope may worry they’ll have to get the courts involved.
The show has been vague about what that custody agreement currently looks like, but there are definitely some signs that this battle could become contentious.
Douglas’ well-being needs to come first, but Thomas will get pushy and leave Hope wondering about the next steps.
