The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Thursday, January 6 Recap – Sheila Promises Taylor She's Not Targeting Brooke

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, January 6, reveals that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) promised Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) she wouldn’t target Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) while B&B fans saw Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) reaction to his wife’s relapse.

At home, Brooke was ashamed and knew Ridge would be upset, but she had to tell him what she did. Ridge assured Brooke they were in this together before she admitted to slipping up and relapsing.

Brooke confessed that she drank on New Year’s Eve, but she couldn’t explain what came over her. She just had an overwhelming urge to drink, so she opened the vodka bottle and just kept pouring.

Ridge told Brooke she was human and that this kind of thing happens. He didn’t want Brooke to beat herself up and wasn’t trying to make her upset, but he had to ask if something happened with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan).

Ridge pointed out that the worst decisions of Brooke’s life were because of Deacon and asked if he did something.

Meanwhile, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) showed up at Forrester Creations, where John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) was visiting Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to get his morning kiss.

Steffy knew Ridge couldn’t make it home for New Year’s Eve and could tell from Hope’s reaction that Brooke was pretty bummed about it.

Steffy wondered if something happened that she wasn’t aware of and didn’t think it was a big deal for Brooke to spend that one night alone.

Hope just felt like something had been off with Brooke since that night. She had a flashback of Brooke banning Deacon and his influence from her home, so she remained concerned.

Back at Brooke’s place, Hope came in and wondered what was going on.

Brooke didn’t want to worry Hope, but she relayed the news that she just told Ridge – that she relapsed and drank on New Year’s Eve.

Ridge said he was just asking if Deacon was there when this drinking thing happened.

“Seriously?” an irritated Hope asked. Brooke wound up sidestepping the question of whether Deacon was there when she drank.

Brooke said she was the only one to blame and cried over letting everybody down. Hope reassured Brooke that her family loved her and would be there for her.

Ridge agreed and thought it was silly when Brooke expressed her fear of losing him. He told Brooke there was nothing to feel guilty about.

Hope pointed out that everyone makes mistakes, so Brooke said her daughter had no idea!

Hope wished she had stayed and felt she shouldn’t have left Brooke all alone on New Year’s Eve.

Brooke looked pensive as she remembered the events of that night and thought back to telling Deacon this secret would haunt her forever.

In Taylor’s office, Sheila flashed to her Champagne label switch before Taylor got off the phone.

Taylor wondered where Sheila zoned out to just now, but Sheila acted like she was just thinking about her hopes for the new year.

Taylor needed to get back to work, but Sheila wanted to thank her one more time for everything. She said she was determined to turn her life around and felt she could do whatever she had to do with Taylor’s help.

Taylor warned that she couldn’t take Sheila on as a patient considering their history.

Sheila understood and handed over a blanket that she claimed she made for Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot). She was dedicated to being a loving grandmother and said she wanted to become a kinder, more stable person.

Taylor hoped Sheila meant that for everyone’s sake, but she warned that she would continue to be extremely cautious.

Taylor acknowledged the possibility of Sheila having more time with Finn and Hayes in the future, but not yet. Taylor felt that Sheila needed to respect the boundaries Steffy and Finn had put in place.

Sheila assured Taylor that she knew the rules and didn’t blame them for the constraints.

Taylor reflected on Sheila’s obsessive tendencies and how that only leads to a pattern of troubling instability, which Taylor witnessed firsthand when Sheila shot her.

Taylor also felt that it would take a tremendous amount of effort for Sheila to achieve trust, but Sheila was grateful for Taylor’s faith in her.

Sheila thought it spoke to Taylor’s character and her compassion – something Brooke would never have.

Taylor was sensing a lot of anger toward Brooke and didn’t want Sheila causing trouble. She pushed Sheila to confirm that she hadn’t done anything and made her promise she wouldn’t lash out at Brooke.

Sheila smiled and laughed a little before giving Taylor that promise.

Afterward, Taylor caught up with Steffy at Forrester Creations. Steffy spoke about Hope’s earlier visit and her concerns about Brooke, which gave Steffy a weird vibe.

Back with Sheila, she said she was going to prove to Finn, Steffy, Taylor and everybody else that she was a changed woman – just as long as no one found out what she did to Brooke on New Year Eve!

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Sheila will keep causing all sorts of vengeful problems, so stay tuned.
