The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 26, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) asked to see John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and rattled Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda). Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) also called out selfish Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), so here’s how Thursday’s B&B drama went down.
At the cabin, Brooke started off nice enough by keeping the focus on Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) pain instead of her own. There was also talk about Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) being firmly on “Team Brooke.”
Hope agreed with Deacon and Bill about Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) overreacting when he moved out, but Brooke acknowledged that he felt betrayed.
Brooke also knew Ridge had to concentrate on helping Steffy adjust to life without Finn – and Hope pointed out Liam was helping with that, too. That led to Brooke asking how long Liam had been gone and questioning whether he’d have to spend even more time at Steffy’s place.
Hope pointed out that sounded so selfish, so she scolded Brooke and put her trust in her husband. However, Brooke felt that Hope needed to be realistic since Steffy and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) had a way of evoking sympathy.
Since vulnerable Steffy said Liam was welcome anytime, Brooke remained on edge. Hope knew Brooke’s heart was in the right place, but she maintained that there was nothing to worry about.
At the cliff house, Steffy opened up to Liam about her lack of closure. There was talk about how Steffy didn’t even know if Finn’s ashes had been scattered, so Liam urged her to call Li and get some answers.
Li spoke sweetly to unconscious Finn before taking Steffy’s call and reluctantly heading back to the cliff house. When Li arrived, she glared outside the front door at Steffy and Liam’s heartfelt hug.
Once Li was invited in, she found out Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot) was elsewhere with the babysitter. Li continued glaring at Liam as he offered his condolences on the loss of Finn and headed to the kitchen.
Steffy talked to Li about how they’d never see Finn again, so Li said she didn’t want to let him go. Although Steffy knew that was beyond their control, she pointed out they could honor Finn’s life.
Li wasn’t pleased to learn the kids knew about Finn’s death, but Steffy said Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) had been asking questions. Although Steffy knew Li was suffering, she insisted that she’d like to see Finn.
That left Li baffled as she seemingly wondered how Steffy knew about her secretly stashed son. Of course, Steffy just meant she didn’t know where Finn had been put to rest.
Since Li claimed she had Finn cremated already, Steffy had questions about whether his ashes were scattered. Steffy also wanted to plan a memorial service, but Li said her son was still with her and that she couldn’t see him gone.
Li ranted about how she wouldn’t let Finn go and warned that there was nothing she wouldn’t do for Finn. After Li took off in a hurry, Steffy and Liam talked about the walls that Finn’s mom was putting up.
Liam assured Steffy that he picked up on the same cold, distant vibe. Steffy felt that Li was pushing her away and thought it was almost like she was keeping something from her.
After Li returned to comatose Finn’s bedside, she was thankful that Hayes was too young to wrap his head around Finn’s death. Li knew Hayes would be thrilled to see his daddy again one day soon.
As for Finn’s wife, Li pointed out that he saved Steffy’s life by jumping in front of that bullet. Finn’s mother was clearly still thinking about that close Liam and Steffy moment as she hoped Steffy proved worthy of Finn’s commitment.
Back with Steffy, she wondered how she was supposed to pick up the pieces and wake up every day without Finn. Liam put his arms around Steffy and kissed the top of her head as she cried.
