The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, November 10, reveals that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) confessed Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was the reason for the annulment before Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) signed the papers. Here’s how all the B&B drama went down.
At Brooke’s place, she admitted she hadn’t signed the annulment papers yet and refused to believe this was happening. Ridge said it wasn’t easy for him either, so Brooke wanted to throw the papers in the fireplace and work things out.
However, Ridge insisted that the damage was done. That left Brooke frustrated as she demanded to know what Ridge was talking about. Brooke pushed Ridge to tell her what was making him want to end their marriage.
When Brooke asked if this was about Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) or Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), Ridge insisted it wasn’t about either of those clowns. Brooke wondered what it was then and pointed out that she couldn’t read Ridge’s mind.
Ridge got emotional as he blurted out “that’s my boy” and added that Brooke gave up on Thomas in the worst way possible. All Ridge wanted was some humanity, kindness and forgiveness, but he couldn’t battle with Brooke over Thomas anymore.
Ridge didn’t want to play this game, but Brooke didn’t get how the annulment was connected to Thomas. After Ridge said Brooke couldn’t find even a small place in her heart, Brooke wished she could believe Thomas had changed.
Brooke argued that Thomas was being manipulative and not entirely truthful. That truthful comment made Ridge wonder if there was anything Brooke wanted to tell him about Thomas.
Brooke didn’t know what Thomas had to do with this and wanted to discuss their marriage instead. After Ridge said he’d always love Brooke, he admitted he previously thought it was going to be the two of them forever.
“But I can’t do this,” Ridge insisted. Brooke still didn’t understand why, but she ultimately accepted that he’d made his decision to be with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) and said she wouldn’t stand in his way.
After they walked over to the annulment papers, Ridge handed Brooke a pen. Brooke slowly took it and put her signature down, so Ridge touched her face tenderly on his way out.
At Forrester Creations, Taylor arrived after being summoned for some huge news. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) kept hyping it up, so Taylor wondered if she was pregnant.
Once Steffy shut down that idea, she savored this moment along with Thomas and talked about the future being bright. Taylor asked if Thomas and Steffy had joined a cult, so they finally confessed that Ridge was serving Brooke with annulment papers and invalidating the marriage.
Taylor was surprised since Ridge didn’t tell her it was happening today, but she knew something was weighing on him. Although Taylor was pleased about Ridge moving on with her, she also wanted him to be happy.
Thomas thought they should be celebrating the fact that Brooke was finally out of their lives for good. Taylor still worried about Ridge pulling another switcheroo, but Thomas said there was no chance of that happening now.
In the design office, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) paid Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) a visit and hoped to avoid Thomas while he was at Forrester Creations.
After Liam made a speech about how proud he was of Hope, he said he was even proud to be married to her. Liam just wished Thomas didn’t have to be a key part of that.
Once Liam asked if Hope could at least understand where he was coming from, she thought back to Thomas almost kissing her. Hope assured Liam that she understood she needed to be cautious.
When Katie Logan (Heather Tom) arrived with updates on Ridge’s annulment papers, Liam and Hope were taken aback. They all debated why Ridge was doing this, so that led to some talk about Steffy and Thomas guilt-tripping Ridge into choosing Taylor.
Katie argued that Ridge was a grown man and should be able to make his own decision. Even so, Liam pointed out that Thomas was always up to no good.
After Katie left, Hope asked if Liam was implying that Thomas had something to do with Brooke and Ridge being apart. Liam didn’t know exactly what ended the marriage, but he assumed Thomas was off popping a bottle of Champagne.
Liam noted that when things went mysteriously wrong in the past, it was because of Thomas – and he didn’t see why this time should be any different.
