The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 8, reveals that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) had an emotional meltdown while Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) struggled to shake a kiss memory.
At the cabin on Thursday’s B&B episode, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) talked to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) about Thomas and her fears about whether he could control his feelings for Hope.
Brooke also ranted about Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) trying to make trouble in her marriage, so that left her feeling like they were under attack.
Although Liam briefly feared they might be overreacting, Brooke didn’t think so and grumbled about Thomas’ custody push. Brooke felt like Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) was being used for the Forrester agenda, but Liam acknowledged that the situation was complicated.
That said, Liam felt that it would become harder the longer Thomas got his way. It’d be better for Hope to take a stand now in Liam’s opinion.
At the Forrester mansion, Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) complimented Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) new portrait and was happy things worked out with Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis). Eric hinted that everything would turn out OK in the end for Zende and Paris Buckingham (Diamond White), too.
Over with Steffy, she tried to play nice with Hope as they discussed the nanny. Steffy was pleased that Hope came so she could see for herself how much Douglas was enjoying his time with Thomas.
Later, Thomas piped up about Hope being part of the family as Douglas’ mother. As for Steffy, she shared a private moment with Taylor and let her mom know she was meant to be with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).
Taylor eventually made a speech about how full her heart was and discussed all they had overcome. There was talk about Steffy’s reunion with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and how Thomas’ bond with Douglas was growing stronger.
Taylor got touchy-feely with Ridge as she expressed love for her family, including her former flame. Hope seemed uncomfortable as she was forced to witness the scene.
As for Douglas, he was grateful to Hope for this extended stay and had an unfinished project he’d been working on with Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay). Hope ultimately went home to Liam without Douglas and broke down in tears over how conflicted she was.
Hope didn’t know what to do since she loved and missed Douglas, but it didn’t feel right to yank him out of the mansion when he was having such a wonderful time with his family there.
Liam tried to calm Hope down and understood why she was torn. According to Liam, the most important thing was for Hope not to lose sight of how manipulative Thomas could be. Liam warned that Hope would use the conflict Hope was feeling to his advantage – but only if Hope let him.
Back with Thomas, he pulled up a pic of himself with Hope and Douglas on his cell phone. After Thomas had a flashback of embracing and kissing Hope, he told himself to stop. Thomas added that Hope was married and insisted he couldn’t go back there.
Once Steffy and Finn made it home, Taylor accidentally interrupted their make-out session. That led to Steffy’s pep talk about Taylor and Ridge getting back together. Steffy felt it was just a matter of time.
At Brooke’s place, she assured Ridge that she wasn’t hurt about Steffy’s lack of invite to the Forrester gathering. Brooke admitted she missed Ridge and showed him just how much with some passionate kisses.
