The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 26, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) sobbed over John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) murder – and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) caught sneaky Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) in Steffy’s room.
At the hospital on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) was concerned over Steffy becoming so emotionally dependent on Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).
Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) worried that it could be months or years before Steffy remembered on her own, so she agreed with Brooke when it came to revealing the truth.
Liam was concerned about going against Taylor’s advice, but Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) came over and admitted she’s received Steffy’s latest test results from neurology.
Bridget thought that Steffy could handle hearing the truth now, but Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) were wary as they joined the conversation.
In the end, Ridge decided Liam could break the news about Finn to Steffy, but he wanted to be there, too.
In sleeping Steffy’s room, Sheila touched one of the machines and thought to herself about how she never meant for any of this to happen.
Now Finn was dead – and Sheila felt that Steffy had left her no other choice.
Sheila was all set to mess with one of the machines when Taylor walked in.
Taylor said she knew what Sheila was doing and figured Sheila was trying to make sense of how it was even possible that Finn was gone.
After Taylor reminded Sheila that she still had her grandson, she pointed out that Steffy had regained consciousness.
Taylor felt confident that Steffy would soon remember who did this to her as well as Finn. She sought confirmation that Sheila wanted that, too.
Steffy stirred awake and struggled to understand why Sheila was there.
As Liam came together with Steffy’s family, he admitted Sheila had suffered a loss along with the rest of them – especially Steffy.
Taylor wasn’t happy about Bridget clearing Liam to do this and felt Steffy was too fragile.
However, Steffy was curious at this point and felt that her husband should tell her.
Liam said they needed to fill in some blanks – and Ridge assured Steffy that they’d find out who did this to both of them.
Steffy realized someone else was with her in the alley and learned that someone was Finn.
After Steffy had a fuzzy flash of Finn, Ridge handed over his phone so that Steffy could look at their wedding pic.
Steffy had another memory flash of the nuptials before Liam admitted Steffy was married to Finn instead.
Once Steffy found out she shared a child with Finn named Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot), she finally faced a memory flood.
Steffy started crying and begged to see both Finn and Hayes.
Sadly, Steffy then realized that wasn’t possible. She learned Hayes was with the nanny and determined that everyone was speaking about Finn in the past tense.
Taylor admitted that Finn was gone – and Ridge clarified that Finn didn’t survive after he was shot that night.
Sheila cried along with everyone else as Steffy sobbed over the grim news.
