The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 4, reveals that Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) told Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) about Santa’s kiss while Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) made a forever vow to Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) over the phone.
At the cabin on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Liam got the kids ready since Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) was about to pick them up.
Douglas was deep in thought as he remembered Santa kissing Brooke on New Year’s Eve. He eventually snapped back to reality and told Liam that he saw Grandma kissing Santa Claus.
Liam gently corrected Douglas about the song being about Mommy kissing Santa Claus, but Douglas insisted it was Grandma.
Liam decided it could be Grandma then and sent Douglas to finish getting ready in the other room.
After Deacon showed up, Liam wondered what he wanted. Deacon said this was about Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), so Liam let him stay for a chat after the kids left with Donna.
Deacon knew they were very different guys, but he acknowledged that their love for Hope was what they had in common.
In fact, Deacon admired Liam for looking out for Hope and being so protective.
Deacon knew some people like Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) would never believe he’d changed for the better, but he promised he had – and it was because of Hope.
Deacon was hopeful that Liam might give him a chance.
The conversation ultimately shifted to Liam’s surprise over Brooke inviting Deacon on New Year’s Eve. Deacon confirmed that night was just full of surprises!
At home, Ridge was asking Brooke about New Year’s Eve when Hope walked in. Hope asked if Ridge was sure he wanted to know since it was probably Brooke’s craziest New Year’s Eve ever!
Hope talked about how the Champagne and nonalcoholic Champagne were both flowing before mentioning the kids’ noisemakers.
Hope thought Ridge should know that her dad was there briefly, so Brooke suggested she was just about to tell him.
Ridge asked if Deacon was on his best behavior, but Brooke just kept talking about how much she loved and missed Ridge.
At the cabin again, Hope kissed Liam before he mentioned Deacon’s earlier visit. Liam admitted they actually had kind of a good talk, so Hope was glad.
Hope hoped Liam could learn to get along with Deacon and was grateful that her husband was trying.
Once Taylor Hayes’ (Krista Allen) return to Los Angeles came up, Hope acknowledged the weird timing.
Liam felt Brooke and Ridge’s marriage didn’t need the added stress from Deacon or Taylor right now. He thought it’d be a mistake to push Deacon on Ridge too much since that plan could backfire.
At Il Giardino, Deacon sat at the bar and thought back on his wild New Year’s Eve with Brooke.
Meanwhile, Ridge pushed for answers about Deacon and feared he’d done something to upset Brooke while he was at the house.
Brooke blamed her off behavior on not sleeping well because she never did when Ridge wasn’t there.
Ridge promised to ring in the new year with Brooke next year, but he thought there’d be a whole year of possibilities in between.
Ridge added that there was no way Deacon would break them up and reminded Brooke of his love.
While Ridge took a phone call from the prince, Brooke shared her own call with Deacon.
Deacon wondered if Brooke was OK, so she snapped that she was anything but!
Deacon tried to act like nothing happened, but Brooke ranted about her relapse.
Even so, Deacon felt Brooke could go to her meetings and get back on the wagon. He didn’t want Brooke beating herself up over the kiss or anything else she was feeling guilty about.
Brooke whined that what happened would haunt her and wanted Deacon to promise that he’d keep this a secret forever. Deacon echoed Brooke’s “forever” before they disconnected.
That left Brooke to battle temptation as she looked at the vodka bottle. Brooke’s lip quivered as she cried and poured the bottle out on a plant.
As for Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), she thought back to Brooke’s fierce warning and laughed over her own handiwork.
Since Deacon was inspecting the nonalcoholic Champagne bottle this morning, Sheila had a sneaking suspicion that Brooke’s world was already starting to fall apart.
At Forrester Creations, Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) assured Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) that she didn’t plan the kiss.
After Carter rattled off some of Paris’ great qualities, she teased him by acting like he might’ve planned it instead.
Carter insisted he wasn’t making a play for Paris and only wanted to be there for her as a friend. “that’s what we are, right?” Carter asked.
Carter advised Paris to go easy on herself over the failed proposal since she saved Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) from embarrassment and pain. Carter also admitted he could see why Zende loved Paris so much.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Carter and Paris’ flirting should continue as they try to figure out what they really want.
