The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Wednesday, April 20 Recap – Quinn’s Marriage Problems with Eric – Liam Pretends for Steffy

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 20, reveals that Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) hinted at some marriage problems with Eric Forrester (John McCook) while Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) pretended for Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) sake.

At the hospital on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) didn’t share Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) concerns about Liam and Steffy’s bond.

Hope pointed out that Liam’s ring was on her finger, not Steffy’s. She felt lucky that her family was safe and that their lives hadn’t changed in the blink of an eye the way Steffy’s had.

Hope wondered how Steffy would handle hearing that her husband was gone and never coming back.

In Steffy’s room, she gushed over her “sweet husband” and how much she needed Liam. It meant so much to have Liam by Steffy’s side.

When Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) came in, she wondered what was going on. Steffy said she was just telling them how much she needed her husband.

Liam and Ridge had distressed expressions, so Bridget realized Steffy had the wrong idea about who her husband was.

Bridget asked if Steffy remembered anything else about that night, so Steffy admitted she didn’t.

Bridget thought Steffy should get some rest, but she didn’t want Liam to leave.

Liam promised he’d be right outside those doors, so Steffy thanked him and said she loved him so much.

An uncomfortable Liam could only respond with a gentle “yeah.”

Sheila eavesdropped for Steffy updates before approaching Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) in the waiting area.

Taylor admitted Steffy was still drawing a blank, but she promised Sheila they’d find out who was responsible for the shooting.

After Taylor offered reassurance about putting the shooter behind bars for the rest of their life, she gave Sheila a hug.

Once Brooke and Hope appeared, Sheila decided she didn’t belong there.

Taylor disagreed since Sheila was John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) mom and Hayes Forrester Finnegan’s (Piper Harriot) grandmother.

Sheila insisted she was also concerned for Steffy before Liam, Ridge and Bridget came out.

There was a lot of uncomfortable stammering as they all tried to explain the change in Steffy’s condition.

Hope didn’t think it was surprising that Steffy was grateful to see Liam. She mentioned that Liam and Steffy share a child – plus, they were married.

Liam said that was the thing and explained that Steffy still believed they were a married couple.

The news left Hope, Brooke and Taylor looking shocked while Sheila smirked to herself.

There was talk about Steffy having no recollection of Finn or Hayes.

Hope thought Steffy deserved to know the truth, but Taylor was wary of upsetting Steffy with too much traumatic information.

Brooke was appalled at the notion of letting Steffy believe she was right.

However, Bridget backed Taylor up since Steffy was in a fragile state. She thought maybe they shouldn’t dredge up too much for Steffy just yet.

Steffy begged her nurse to go get her husband, so the nurse did what Steffy asked.

Once Liam was summoned, he said maybe the best thing was to let Steffy keep believing what she was believing.

Liam returned to Steffy’s bedside, so she said she was so scared and mentioned getting shot.

After Liam told Steffy she was an extraordinary woman, he promised she’d be OK.

Steffy knew that was true as long as she had her husband by her side.

Steffy begged Liam not to leave her, so Liam insisted he wouldn’t and said Steffy wouldn’t be alone.

Hope peeked in through the window as Liam touched Steffy’s face in a tender moment. She looked awfully concerned about the reconnection she was witnessing!

At Forrester Creations, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) teased Quinn by getting her to admit she missed him a little louder.

Carter confirmed that things were truly over with Paris, so Quinn was glad to hear that.

Quinn didn’t want Carter creating any more drama with the Forresters, particularly with a woman who tried to blow up her life.

The conversation turned to Carter and Quinn previously having to fight their attraction, but Quinn also missed confiding in Carter.

Quinn talked about feeling a void now that they’d stopped spending time with each other.

Quinn confessed that nobody understood her the way Carter did, so he brought up Eric.

Quinn said she was very happy to be back with her husband, but Eric had been spending a lot of time working from home.

After Quinn mentioned that Eric slept in the guesthouse quite often, Carter asked if there was still a problem – something that Quinn couldn’t talk to even Carter about.

Quinn stood by her commitment to Eric, but she found it refreshing to talk to Carter since he didn’t try to change her.

Carter argued that Eric didn’t try to change Quinn either, but she didn’t want to get into all this.

Quinn insisted she just came to give Carter the loft key, but he thought maybe that was an excuse.

After Quinn admitted she also missed her friend, Carter asked if they were indeed still friends. Quinn said she’d like to think so.

Carter told Quinn that he didn’t think there was another woman in the world like her.

Carter suggested Quinn was an original among originals, so she playfully warned that he shouldn’t forget it.

Carter said he hadn’t and never would, so Quinn looked back at him and smiled as she left.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Quinn and Carter’s intense spark could lead to issues if they let it, so stay tuned to B&B!
