The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 31, reveals that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) had a custody strategy session. Meanwhile, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) flaunted her Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) win in front of Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) – at least her win for now!
At the Forrester mansion, Brooke and Taylor threw more paint before Ridge entered shaking his head at them.
Ridge demanded answers on Wednesday’s B&B episode, so Taylor and Brooke blamed each other for their messy feud.
Taylor pointed out that Brooke accused her of using Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) to interfere in her marriage to Ridge.
Brooke argued that pushing Thomas toward a custody battle put her in a different camp than Ridge – and she felt Taylor knew that.
However, Taylor acted like not everything was about Brooke. This was just about Thomas belonging with his son in Taylor’s opinion.
After Ridge scolded the paint-covered ladies for their behavior, he warned them to stay back since he didn’t want to get messy, too.
Brooke touched Ridge anyway and seductively suggested he could join her in the shower.
Taylor didn’t look happy as Brooke fawned all over Ridge and kissed him.
Brooke declared that nothing and no one would ever come between them as she pulled Ridge close.
At Forrester Creations, Thomas walked in on Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) fight.
After mentioning that Douglas was with Amelia and Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay), Thomas requested time alone with Hope so they could talk.
Once Steffy sauntered out, Hope admitted she was worried about Thomas’ intentions when it came to their son.
From Hope’s perspective, it was starting to feel like Thomas was putting his wants above Douglas’ needs.
Thomas argued that Douglas needed to be with his father, but Hope felt like he was acting like she wasn’t his mother.
After Hope reminded Thomas that it was his idea for her to become Douglas’ mom, she defended the boy’s happiness at the cabin.
Thomas just wanted a chance to show Hope how happy Douglas was at Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) house instead.
Although there was a time when Thomas couldn’t give Douglas stability, he was a different person now and felt Douglas should be with him.
Thomas reiterated that Hope should do him this favor and come see that the Forrester mansion was a great place for Douglas.
At the cabin, Bill ranted about Thomas’ push for full-time custody and felt the guy had proven over and over again that he was unstable.
Neither Bill nor Liam believed Thomas should be Douglas’ primary caregiver.
Liam didn’t understand why Thomas suddenly wanted to rip Hope’s heart out by taking Douglas away like this.
Some small part of Bill understood since he missed out on so much time with Liam and Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), but Liam felt that was different since Bill didn’t know they existed.
Thomas, on the other hand, already had plenty of time with Douglas, so Liam didn’t get why he wanted to change the arrangement.
Liam considered the possibility that Thomas was trying to get Hope’s attention – and Bill said he wouldn’t put it past him.
After Bill pointed out they could be headed for a full-blown custody battle, Liam insisted they’d make every effort to resolve this among themselves.
Bill didn’t seem hopeful about a resolution outside of court, but he did mention Thomas’ unstable history could come into play.
Liam agreed that if it came down to it, it’d give Hope a very strong case if she used Thomas’ past against him.
Bill seemed pleased to know Liam was thinking like his old man.
