The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 21, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) summoned Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) for emergency updates on Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), who was confirmed to be alive in Los Angeles.
Steffy talked about her run-in with disguised Sheila at Il Giardino and revealed the cops proved it was her through facial recognition from nearby footage.
After explaining the car chase that went wrong, Steffy argued that Sheila was an idiot to stay in LA since they would find her and lock her back up.
Once Steffy was alone with Taylor, she reflected on being proud of her mom for walking away from Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).
Steffy admitted she was kind of proud of Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), too – though she still felt bad about pushing Taylor to reunite with Ridge in the first place.
Taylor didn’t blame Steffy for that and told her daughter that objecting at the wedding was the right thing to do.
As they expressed their love for each other, Steffy told Taylor that there was nothing she wouldn’t do for her.
Next on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Brooke and Katie Logan (Heather Tom) discussed how Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) seemed to be slipping back into his old ways.
That said, Katie was moving on and knew that life was too short to be unhappy.
Brooke could tell that Katie wasn’t quite herself, so she came clean about having her annual cardiology appointment soon.
These things always made Katie nervous and stirred up a lot of emotions, but she insisted she could handle whatever the doctor said.
Katie reflected on Storm Logan (William deVry) giving her the gift of life when he gave up his heart.
However, Katie cried as she told Brooke that they both knew she was living on borrowed time.
Brooke said Katie was a special person who deserved to live and vowed that she would.
Although Brooke fought hard to attend the appointment with her sister, Katie felt she should do this on her own.
When Carter found Brooke later, she filled him in on Katie’s visit to the doctor for cardiology test results.
Carter didn’t think Katie should be alone – and Brooke agreed as she gave him a subtle nudge to go be with her.
In Dr. Grace Buckingham’s (Cassandra Creech) office, Katie seemed nervous as she waited for her.
Carter eventually showed up, but Katie insisted she’d been doing this alone for a long time and didn’t want him to feel sorry for her.
Carter assured Katie that he was in awe of her courage and strength instead, but it also broke his heart that she’d done this on her own for so long.
Now Carter wanted to be the one Katie leaned on, so he promised her that he wouldn’t break.
There was a little awkwardness when Dr. Buckingham came in and saw Carter, but Katie explained that he was there for support and hoped it was OK.
Grace said it was fine since Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) had moved on – and so had Grace.
Since Dr. Buckingham had Katie’s test results, she had a serious look as she prepared to deliver them.
Katie took Carter’s hand as she awaited whatever news Dr. Buckingham had to offer.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Carter will remain by Katie’s side through this scary ordeal, so stay tuned to B&B.
