The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 18, reveals that Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) kissed Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) while Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) waited. Meanwhile, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) got honest with Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).
At Brooke’s place, she asked if Ridge was finally coming home to her. Brooke reflected on all the love Ridge had shown her in the aftermath of her broken sobriety and knew he hated what Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) did.
Ridge wished he’d been there to protect Brooke that night, but she felt he still protected her later by giving her support. What Brooke needed right now was for Ridge to tell her that he was coming home.
Ridge wanted to move past that night, but he reminded Brooke that she ended up with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and wondered what he was supposed to do with that. Although Ridge wasn’t trying to guilt-trip Brooke, she still turned to another man.
Brooke wanted to start fresh, but Ridge got agitated since Taylor had been so kind and had no expectations.
Ridge had two amazing women in his life, but now Brooke was asking him to hurt one of them. “Which one?” Ridge asked Brooke on Wednesday’s B&B episode.
Brooke knew the Sheila revelation didn’t absolve her, but she assured Ridge that she never would’ve kissed Deacon if she hadn’t been drinking. Ridge admitted he still loved Brooke, but he needed some time – and Brooke understood that.
Since it wasn’t right to stay at Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) guesthouse, Ridge decided he’d move in with Eric Forrester (John McCook) and spend some time at his family home.
Brooke reflected on that being where they first laid eyes on each other, so Ridge confessed he could never forget it. After Ridge insisted he was doing all this because he loved Brooke so much, she declared that they were soulmates.
Brooke believed they would get through this and told Ridge that he was her destiny. That led to Brooke and Ridge kissing passionately in a tender moment.
At the cliff house, Taylor couldn’t believe her reconnection with Ridge stemmed from Sheila’s manipulation. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) argued that Taylor shouldn’t let Sheila tarnish what her parents shared and felt their spark started beforehand.
As for Brooke, Steffy didn’t think Ridge was going to rush right back into her arms. After Steffy praised Taylor for showing Ridge what real love and partnership looked like, she hoped he remembered that.
Taylor mentioned how Brooke tried to stop Ridge and Deacon from fighting, but Steffy thought Brooke should’ve defended her husband. Steffy didn’t get why Taylor was acting so “Team Brooke,” but Taylor clarified that she wanted Ridge home.
Although Taylor felt that things were complicated, Steffy said Ridge would never have lasting peace with Brooke – not the way he could have it with Taylor. As they waited, Steffy added that Taylor should trust Ridge and trust that he would be back.
At the cabin, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) found out from Liam that Hope was on her way home. Although Bill could agree with Hope about wanting Brooke’s happiness, he knew Brooke wasn’t going to find that with Ridge.
Liam argued that Brooke was madly in love with Ridge and perhaps always had been, but Bill pointed out that Brooke was madly in love with him once upon a time. Once Hope joined Liam, Bill and Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), she realized they were talking about Brooke.
Hope wasn’t thrilled about Ridge holding Brooke’s mistake over her and wished he could move on. That said, Hope felt that Brooke and Ridge were destiny. Liam joined Hope as they said it in unison, but Bill suggested they were going to make him puke!
After Bill ranted about Ridge running back to Taylor so fast, Wyatt acted like this debate was pointless without Brooke there to give input. Bill decided to leave with Wyatt, but he urged Hope to think about what he said and felt she could appeal to Brooke like no one else could.
Once Hope was alone with Liam, she asked if he thought Bill was right. Liam didn’t think Bill was entirely wrong about Ridge being unfair to Brooke, but he also understood why Ridge felt betrayed.
However, Liam felt it was hypocritical for Ridge to go running to Taylor right away. Hope thought it was helpful hearing Liam’s side of things, but she couldn’t give up on Ridge and Brooke just yet.
