The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 9, reveals that Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) apology baffled Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) while Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) comforted distraught Katie Logan (Heather Tom).
At Forrester Creations on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Thomas could tell that Ridge had something heavy weighing on him. Ridge admitted he saw Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) last night and wondered how she could do what she did.
Ridge said Brooke was still pretending she didn’t know the CPS call is what drove them apart. Thomas thought it was best to just put Brooke in the past and move on, but Ridge confessed that he did something today that was going to hurt her.
When Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) arrived, Ridge filled both his kids in on the annulment papers he had Carter deliver. Steffy was happy about Ridge reuniting with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), but she didn’t want Brooke to get hurt.
Ridge felt it was unavoidable and asked for understanding since things were going to be awkward around the office for a while. Thomas pointed out that Brooke had to expect this – and Steffy added that Ridge couldn’t start a life with Taylor until he took this step.
Ridge felt like he should’ve been there for Brooke and warned her somehow. However, Steffy insisted Taylor offered Ridge a love that he’d never be able to question. Thomas thought at some point, Ridge had to look after himself.
Although their marriage wasn’t perfect, Ridge suggested he’d always been able to get past his issues with Brooke until this one.
Thomas said he was sorry, so Ridge wondered what his son was sorry about. Steffy was also curious, but Thomas claimed he was just sorry about what Ridge was going through.
Ridge offered reassurance, but Thomas asked if he was having second thoughts. After Ridge denied that, he revealed that he was conflicted and just trying to process things. Thomas said Ridge shouldn’t feel guilty and urged him to focus on his future with Taylor.
At home, Brooke opened the door to Carter and realized he brought the annulment papers Ridge mentioned. Carter knew it still had to be shocking, so Brooke admitted it was now that she was seeing it in black and white.
Brooke argued that her marriage shouldn’t be ending with a few pieces of paper and added that it shouldn’t be ending at all. Carter felt terrible, but he shook his head no when Brooke asked if Ridge said to tell her anything.
Once Brooke was alone, she thought back on romantic memories with Ridge and gazed at the annulment papers. Brooke cried as she seemed to realize the gravity of the situation.
Back at Forrester Creations, Carter entered the design office looking somber, so Katie realized something was up. Katie got updates on Carter delivering annulment papers and was appalled over Ridge wanting to wipe out his marriage to Brooke like it never even happened.
Katie knew this was going to devastate Brooke and planned to call her later. Brooke and Ridge had always overcome their obstacles, so Katie said Taylor wasn’t supposed to be a threat.
This annulment was going to crush Brooke, so Katie just couldn’t understand why this was happening. Carter could tell how upset Katie was, so he pulled her into a comforting embrace.
At Brooke’s place again, Ridge stopped by to make sure she was OK, but she asked why he cared. Ridge said he’d always care about Brooke and used “we” as he was trying to explain things.
Brooke insisted that once they signed those papers, there’d be no “we” anymore. With that in mind, Brooke asked if this was really the end for them.
Brooke still didn’t understand and said not to tell her this was how it had to be. That was no reason at all, so Brooke just had to know WHY Ridge was doing this!
At Forrester Creations again, Steffy couldn’t believe that it actually happened – that Ridge finally had enough and asked for an annulment. Brooke and Ridge’s marriage was over at last.
Thomas suggested that Ridge was so much happier with Taylor and reflected on how Brooke was always trying to control everything. Once Thomas was alone, he thought back to using the voice changer app for the CPS call setup.
“Goodbye, Brooke,” Thomas said with an evil smirk.
