The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 14, reveals that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) declared his love for Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) while Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) shut down Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) mission – or at least tried to!
At Forrester Creations, Steffy pushed Ridge to stop wasting time with Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and move out of her house. Steffy also suggested Ridge could move in with Eric Forrester (John McCook) and urged him to do whatever it took to have a future with Taylor.
After Steffy argued that Ridge didn’t have to be with Brooke – who cheats and was careless with his heart – she said Taylor would never cheat on him. Steffy got Ridge to admit he’d always love Taylor, so she felt he should just go to his ex, express that love and reunite with her.
At the cliff house on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) found Taylor working from home and brought her a frozen drink.
After Thomas talked about Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) and how lucky they were that Hope was allowing them to spend this time together, Taylor raised an eyebrow.
Since Douglas was Thomas’ son, Taylor didn’t think it was Hope’s place to allow anything. Thomas argued that he was in a good place with Hope and that they’d work it out.
Next, Thomas brought up his desire to see Taylor back together with Ridge, so Taylor felt that her children wanted her to steal Brooke’s husband. Thomas knew that Taylor wasn’t the type to do that, but he insisted Brooke had stolen someone’s husband before and would do it again.
Once Thomas reiterated that Taylor belonged with Ridge, he insisted that his father wanted their reunion deep down. Thomas felt that Taylor and Ridge should just go for it.
Brooke always had issues and needed Ridge to be her savior, but Ridge came to life around Taylor according to Thomas. Taylor and Ridge’s reunion was inevitable as far as Thomas was concerned.
At the cabin, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) mentioned how quiet it was without Douglas around. Hope missed Douglas too, but she didn’t want to push it with Thomas and risk starting a custody battle.
Liam worried Thomas was getting inside Hope’s head again and admitted he had the same sinking feeling he used to have. It felt like Thomas was in “classic manipulation mode” since he was forcing Hope to visit Eric’s place without Liam if she wanted to see Douglas.
Hope thought they should really be worried about Brooke since Steffy and Taylor were trying to break up her mom’s marriage. Although Hope hadn’t shared much with Brooke, she said it needed to stop and decided to pay Steffy a visit.
Back at Forrester Creations, Thomas met up with Steffy and agreed about Ridge needing to reunite with their mom. Steffy said that Ridge admitted to still loving Taylor and ranted about Brooke until Hope walked in.
Hope said that was enough Brooke bashing and announced that she would no longer sit idly by while Steffy undermined her mother’s marriage.
At the cliff house again, Ridge stopped by since he got an earful from their kids and felt confident also Taylor got one. Taylor acknowledged that Steffy and Thomas wanted their parents back together so badly.
Ridge noted that the kiss in Monaco raised Thomas and Steffy’s hopes, but Taylor suggested they just got caught up in the moment. After Ridge said it was more than that, he added that their kids were smart and intuitive.
Taylor insisted Steffy and Thomas knew how much she loved him, so Ridge admitted he loved Taylor as well. Once Taylor got Ridge to repeat that he loved her, she said it felt really good to hear that.
Taylor then asked if that’s why Ridge came by – to tell her that he loved her and that maybe he was ready to start a future with her. Ridge and Taylor moved in close as they smiled at each other.
