The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 7, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) snubbed Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) on a party invite before Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) landed in Forrester territory.
At the cliff house, Steffy wanted to have another celebration now that Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) was living at the Forrester mansion. Steffy suggested celebrating Taylor Hayes’ (Krista Allen) imminent reunion with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) as well and ultimately called her dad to invite him.
Ridge agreed to attend the get-together, so Brooke wondered if she was invited when he hung up. After Ridge sheepishly asked if Brooke wanted to go, she questioned if Steffy invited them or just Ridge. In the end, Brooke decided to stay home and await more wonderful kisses from her husband.
At the Forrester manse, Douglas was amazed over the baseball collection that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was passing down to him. Eric delivered the news of the next Forrester family get-together and was thrilled to have so many Forresters in the house.
At the cabin, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was frustrated since Thomas had given no indication of when Douglas would come home. It left Liam wondering why Hope didn’t just say that Douglas needed to come home today.
Hope pointed out that Douglas wasn’t in danger or being mistreated and was having a great time with his dad. Plus, Hope wanted to be careful to avoid a full-blown custody battle.
Thomas eventually called and put it on speaker, so Douglas brought up the Forrester family gathering and got Hope to agree she would stop by. Liam noted that he didn’t get an invite and pushed Hope to consider the possibility that Thomas’ feelings for her had rekindled.
Hope didn’t think she needed protecting from Thomas – and she didn’t think Douglas needed protecting either. Liam hoped that Hope would at least bring Douglas back with her, but she said they’d see how it went.
Hope ran into Brooke on the way out and let Liam fill her mom in on the family soiree. Brooke pointed out that Ridge was headed there too and suggested outside forces were at play. This Douglas situation gave Steffy, Thomas and Taylor more ammunition to lure Ridge back as part of their sweet little family.
Back at the Forrester mansion, Douglas used a voice app to trick Eric into thinking Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) had spoken to him. Douglas explained that you just needed someone’s voice sample and then you could say whatever you wanted in that same voice.
John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) and Hayes Finnegan (Iliana and Vienna Norris) all joined the festivities, so Eric was tickled pink over having multiple generations in the house.
Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) was also glad to be part of the celebration after missing the last one.
Thomas mentioned that Hope was on the way, so Taylor and Steffy didn’t seem thrilled about that. Steffy said Thomas shouldn’t be surprised if Hope insisted on taking Douglas home with her tonight.
Hope showed up moments later and got reassurance from Thomas that she’d always be included since she was family, too. There was more talk about the magic of Monaco, so Taylor thought back to her kiss there with Ridge.
After witnessing a funny moment between Douglas and Kelly upstairs, Hope and Thomas came down in a fit of laughter. Steffy and the others kept playing up how wonderful it was for Douglas to be there with the Forrester clan.
On Wednesday’s B&B episode, Ridge made a speech about how proud he was of his grown children and praised Taylor for making their family possible. It wasn’t the same when Taylor wasn’t around.
Although it had been a rough couple months, Ridge said they’d weathered the storm and were stronger than ever. Hope seemed uncomfortable as she stood there taking in all the Forrester warm moments – especially the closeness of Ridge and Taylor.
