The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that we have to ask: Will Hayes Forrester Finnegan’s (Piper Harriot) paternity change back to Daddy Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton)? Will B&B erase what’s left of John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) for the sake of a revived Liam, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) love triangle?
Let’s face it: Finn’s death was cruel and poorly handled. The show hyped this up like it was some exciting twist to look forward to when it was actually a devastating goodbye.
Finn literally died on a pile of garbage, so it was a fitting illustration of the trash exit they gave him!
Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) shot Steffy anyway, so it minimized Finn’s sacrifice and made him look less heroic. Finn was unable to fully protect Steffy like he set out to do.
Of course, the story is now more about Steffy and her fight to survive. Finn is being set up as someone who’ll fade into oblivion once Sheila’s secret comes out and she pays for her crimes.
It’s clear that the show was never really invested in Finn as a character or his pairing with Steffy since they’ve already killed him off. Finn would still be alive if they considered him important.
With that in mind, will B&B change Hayes’ paternity and make it so Liam is the father after all? We certainly can’t rule it out since the show seems eager to get rid of all traces of Finn.
Liam has been at the center of storylines for years and is poised to land in the center of the next one, too. It’s obvious that Scott Clifton is their go-to leading man in that age group.
Steffy’s medical crisis will pull Liam close again, but a paternity change could really seal the deal on their reconnection.
After all, Liam recently opened up to Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) about his forever bond to Steffy through their child.
Liam already shares Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray) with Steffy, but their bond could grow even stronger if Hayes turns out to be their son, too.
Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) admitted to tampering with the first paternity test that showed Liam was the father.
However, Vinny wasn’t exactly the brightest bulb and could’ve made a mistake in the lab.
There was enough confusion surrounding the paternity situation to offer some wiggle room.
Bottom line, if the show wants to make Liam the true father of Hayes in a paternity twist, then they’ll make it happen and reveal it.
Another child with Steffy could give Liam an extra reason to reunite with her down the road, so it’s something to mull over.
