The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap review for the week of October 3-7 proved that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) is the worst and that Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) should’ve kept running far, far away!
Of course, we should mention that the location shoot in Aspen was lovely and set the stage for big drama.
It’s just a shame that the story was nowhere near as epic as the gorgeous backdrop.
The whole thing felt kind of ridiculous with a pinecone dictating Ridge’s fate and him literally running after Taylor like it was elementary school.
The way Ridge is being written makes it impossible to root for him as a romantic lead.
Ridge heard a recording of what seemed to be Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) voice calling CPS on Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Instead of confronting Brooke about it directly, Ridge just accepted that she didn’t take her chance to confess and ran away from the situation.
Ridge lied about going back to the office for something he forgot and then ended up in Aspen with his former flame.
Brooke had to figure out for herself where Ridge was and still doesn’t know what’s really going on.
Whether you love Brooke or hate her, that’s Ridge’s wife! Should Ridge just be ghosting Brooke so he can act like he’s some sort of romantic hero in Aspen?
Taylor knows how Ridge operates and was suspicious of why he suddenly wanted a life with her. The truth is that Ridge isn’t choosing Taylor at all.
Taylor is exactly right about being Ridge’s consolation prize and all these empty promises Ridge is making aren’t going to hold up.
Ridge assured Taylor that he’d never go back to Brooke, but who actually believes that? It’s a wonder Ridge can say it with a straight face!
Taylor should’ve stayed strong and rejected this doomed reunion since we all know this can only end in heartbreak.
Ridge had an extreme reaction to Brooke’s CPS call betrayal, but that was obviously a setup that’ll be exposed down the road.
Although Ridge may try to stay with Taylor out of obligation when the truth comes out, it’s never going to last.
It always comes back to Brooke and Ridge, so Taylor should’ve known better than to surrender with that reunion kiss.
Nevertheless, we’ll give B&B props for the beauty of Aspen and for Taylor’s sizzling chemistry with Ridge.
Krista Allen and Thorsten Kaye really do work well together, so at least there’s that!
How did you feel about all the action that played out during the week of October 3-7? Do both Taylor and Brooke deserve better than Ridge at this point?
