Tonight’s The Family Chantel episode begins in Mexico, Karen & Chantel are so ready to go home. They thought the surgery was sketchy at first, but seeing how well Winter was taking care of, they both change their mind. Things are so tense with Pedro, but Chantel wants to work on things with him. She knows the problem is communication and she is anxious to go home and be with him, she hopes she gets the same reaction from him.
Elsewhere Nicole, is working out and keeping herself in shape. Her relationship with her bother is very difficult, he won’t talk to her and it hurts her. She would like to tell him that she is sorry for how she acted the last time they were together, she loves him. She calls her brother on Facetime and is surprised that he answered. He asks about her boyfriend and she says she broke up with him because he was too controlling. He is shocked that she finally opened her eyes. She tells him that she doesn’t have Alejandro on her mind, she only has the contest on her mind. The conversation doesn’t end well, she realizes that their relationship is getting any better.
The girls have landed, a long day of travel and they are ready to be home. Chantel asks Winter if she likes Nmesoma more than friends., then she tells him that she met Pedro the same and look what has happened with them. Chantel says when they were daying online she thought Pedro was crazy, he told her so many times he loved her and she was beautiful. After the first trip, they were officially dating and love interests. When Chantel thinks back it makes her so sad because so many things have changed. They are the furthest apart than they ever have been.
Pedro is home, he looks forward to Chantel coming home. She arrives and there is a mess in the entry way. He shows her the book rack that he put together, she tells him good job and gives him the cowboy hat and cowboy boots that she bought him. They are a perfect fit.
Pedro admits that he enjoyed being home alone, nobody telling him what to do, he loved it. Chantel says her trip went well, Winter’s surgery was good. Pedro tells her about the pageant that his sister is going to be in. She wants to be Dominican’s beautiful woman. Chantel says thet his sisters behavior is the total opposite from an elegant pageant queen. He says that she has been calling him, they talked and she didn’t say sorry. He says nothing has changed with her. Chantel tells him that she feels like he has been distant from her and she doesn’t like it. She wants to support him, but he has to open up to her. She says they used to be in synch and now they are not. She says she can’t support him if he doesn’t share his feelings. Pedro doesn’t want to share his feelings because he doesn’t think she understands him. He feels they have two totally different ways to see the world.
Nicole’s pageant is coming up quick and she is working very hard. Stalin told her that she needs to have work on her jaw because she has a small chin, so she is getting an injection. During the procedure, Nicole tells her mother that she spoked to Pedro. Her mother says her boyfriend got in the middle of their relationship, that is what caused the problem. It only takes a few minutes and Nicole now has a chin.
Pedro is showing a house to a high end client and wants to be careful so he gets a good review for his boss. She asks him how large the property is and he doesn’t know. The client is looking at everything, she notices cracks, leaking, a lot of improvements and wants the house price reduced. Pedro says Chantel is selfish, she wants him to focus on her but he wants to focus on his career. Karen’s son and daughter-in-law, Royal and Angenette are expecting She is about to be a glammy. Chantel asks her why she doesn’t want to be called gradma or granny, Karen says because she is too glamorous. Chantel tells her about Nicole being in a pageant and Karen laughs, because neither consider her beautiful, on the inside anyway.
Nicole is packing her bag, time to leave for the pageant. Her mother wishes her good luck. Her mother is happy that her daughter is in the pageant, but she is not happy that Pedro is not there. Coraima is at the pageant with Nicole to support her. Nicole admits that she had thought Pedro would be there to support her anyway.
It’s been a few weeks that Chantel is home from Mexico and she has been doing everything she can to make Pedro happy, but Pedro has not changed and things seem to have magnified. They sit down in the kitchen, she tries to talk to him, but he is negative. They get into an argument about eggs, she is trying to make him breakfast and he is being so ungrateful. She asks him right out what is going on, they haven’t had sex in three months, he doesn’t kiss her, hug her. He knows that his relationship is 50/50 but he doesn’t want to be with someone who only thinkgs about themselves.
