Tonight on NBC their new medical drama “The Good Doctor” airs with an all-new Monday, October 17, 2022, episode and we have you The Good Doctor recap below. In tonight’s The Good Doctor episode, Audrey tells Marcus that she wants to go over the file about Shaun’s surgery on her to make her own review.
Cady Stintson. 24, comes into emergency she is bi-polar and comes in with cuts and abrasions. Alex tells her that she is safe, but he has to examine her. She starts freaking out when she sees a needle, Alex gives it to calm her and she bangs her arm bursting a vessel and blood is everyone.
Julianne got dizzy and sprained her ankle. Shaun checks it and she notices his wedding ring and says it is beautiful. She says she is a marital therapist and probably the reason why JZ and Biance are still married. She tells Shaun that the first year is crucial for weeding out bad habits. She mentions that her husband passed away five months ago. Morgan tells her that her husband died years ago and Shaun decides they are going to MRI her brain.
Cady’s mother wants her daughter home, but her partner who loves her like a daughter says she needs outside help, he is not sure if they can handle it.
Shaun tells the team that he is treating a 51st year old patient. He wants to know all their good and bad habits in the first year of marriage. Audrey tells him that if he has concerns about his marriage, speak to his wife.
Shaun goes in to see Julianne and shows her a picture of her brain, he tells her that they will have to operate, she has a tumour. She says she wants the surgery, she is not done yet. Lea walks in as Shaun is doing tests on Julianne. He wrote down some habits that he would like her to change, he asks her what habits she wants him to change.
Cady doesn’t recognize her mom, she says she wants to go home. Jordan offers to giver her something to relax and her mother wants the restraints taken off but Jordan says she can’t.
Daniel is walking a patient around the hospital and both Asher and Jordan seem enamoured with him.
Audrey and Aaron are in physical therapy. She starts talking about the method that Shaun used in her surgery.
Julianne is in surgery when she starts going in distress, could be a reaction to the anesthesia. Elsewhere, Cady has escaped and she is found in the chapel, sitting on the floor and singing.
Alex has a hunch and does a scan on Cady’s brain, she has hyrdocephilus and it explains a lot of her symptoms. Her mother asks if it is possible that she is not bi-polar, but they don’t know yet.
Shaun tells Julianne they removed the tumour, the surgery was a success. She says she almost died, she remember the paddles on her chest. She goes on to say she saw colours and her husband. Shaun thinks there may be something else wrong with her brain.
Another MRI is booked for Julianne.
Cade is out of surgery, they won’t know her prognosis until she wakes up. Her mother and her partner get into an argument, he says they are there for them and she says before he was ready to walk away.
Alex tells Cady’s mother that her partner Paul is in the cafeteria if she would like some company.
Audrey goes to see Aaron, she says Shaun shouldn’t have done what he did with her surgery. He says he thinks every minute what if, but that doesn’t change anything. He admits that he would have told Shaun to go back to the original plan, she thanks him. She says finally someone sees her side instead of Shaun’s. He tells her that it is not either, or.
Julianne is about to go into surgery again and before she does, she tells Shaun to keep being a great husband. In surgery, Julianne has another seizure, she has no pulse. Asher reminds Shaun that it has been twelve minutes, Shaun calls the time of death.
Cady is waking up, she recognizes her mom who tells her she is ok now. Cady asks for Paul, he is close by and she tells him to get in there. He tells Cody that she was missed so much.
At home, Shaun tells Lea she should do the dishes, he is going to get ready for his night call. He goes to another room and comes back with a sign saying that she is doing everything right and he loves her.
Audrey goes to see Shaun about his losing Julianne. She tells him that she is having complicated feelings about her surgery, he says he saved her life. She says she is very angry about being in a wheelchair. She doesn’t want to talk about her personal life and doesn’t want to hear about his. From now on, their relationship is medicine only.
