Tonight on NBC their new medical drama “The Good Doctor” airs with an all-new Monday, October 24, 2022, episode and we have you The Good Doctor recap below. In tonight’s The Good Doctor season 6 episode, 4 called, “Shrapnel,” as per the ABC synopsis, “The team operates on a military reenactor whose attempt at authenticity has created an explosive predicament that even Dr. Shaun Murphy couldn’t predict.
Meanwhile, Dr. Jordan Allen and Dr. Daniel Perez are on a race against time as they search for a severed foot.”

Tonight’s The Good Doctor episode begins with Shaun, he can’t sleep so he reads. Lea gets up and Shaun remembers that he is meeting Aaron for pancakes.
Audrey is getting ready for her day, she arrives at the elevator and meets the man who helped her in the garage the other day. She apologizes him for being such a mess in the garage last week. He says he was happy to help.
Alex says goodbye to a one night stand, he didn’t know she was married.
Shaun is sitting in the cafeteria waiting for Aaron, who is there and sees him, but turns around and says he has a problem at the clinic and has to cancel. Shaun then gets a text, get to the ER stat. Danica and Asher are treating a man when Shaun walks in and agrees with Danica’s diagnosis.
Alex and Morgan are in the ER, the usual squabbling and disagreeing with each other as they treat a patient who has his foot amputated. The patient’s name is Andy, he thinks he got stitches, he didn’t know his foot was severed and they are looking for it in the lake. Alex has hope, he thinks they will find it.
Danica and Asher are going over images of the patient they were treating, there is an aneurysm and they need to get him to the OR.
Shaun is in Alex’s office, he moves the lamps because he says they are in the wrong place. Alex tells him to speak to him first before he starts rearranging furniture next time.
Lea goes to see Aaron and asks him how his breakfast with Shaun was. She says that she is worried about him, Audrey is cutting her out. Aaron says if Shaun has a problem with Audrey, then he has to deal with it.
In surgery, Danica, Asher and Shaun are operating on the Danica and Asher’s patient when something inside him explodes. They manage to stabilize him. When he wakes up Shaun tells him that they have to do more tests and he is luck the explosion happened on the operating table.
Shaun goes to see Marcus and tells him that he and Alex can’t make it work sharing the same office. Marcus tells him there is no money for another office, he needs to try.
Daniel and Jordan are down by the river waiting for the a team to find the foot.
Danica and Asher go over some test results from their patient and realize they are going to have to amputate his arm. They take the news to Shaun and he tells them to keep looking for a solution for the nerve injuries.
Marcus tells Aaron that Shaun wants his own office and wonders why he didn’t go to Audrey instead of him.
Alex’s patient has an active bleed on his stump, he needs to stop the bleed.
Alex is still trying to save his patient’s foot, they haven’t found the foot yet and decision has to be made. He tells the nurse to take him to the OR, he has no choice. Jordan gets the call, they are taking the patient in to the OR and just then, the foot is found.
Danica and Asher are strategizing over their patient, he keeps asking her questions about her life and why she joined the navy, she gets annoyed. Shaun walks in, he came up with a new solution, they won’t have to amputate the man’s arm.
Shaun finds a storage room that has place for him to move in and out of the office with Alex. Marcus approves it for now, and Shaun is thrilled.
Andy is in surgery, Alex is trying to save his foot.
Aaron goes to see Shaun, he tells him that it is a bad idea that he is isolating himself. Aaron says he cancelled the breakfast because he is angry with him. They start talking about Audrey’s surgery, Shaun says he made the right decision, he saved her life. Aaron yells at him and tells him that he is a man and has to take accountability. Shaun tells him that he is mean and he does not want him in his office.
Shaun saved his patients arm, he tells him that he successfully fixed his shoulder. Asher tells him with lots of rehab he should regain full use of his arm.
Alex is with his patient Andy, he tells him with six months of therapy he should be walking fine.
Danica and Asher are in the locker room, he tells he is sorry if he offended her, he grew up really sheltered, he was ignorant and judgy. She says she tore her ACL, her dream was to play soccer. She played for a miltary school, then was deployed to Afghanistan.
Jordan and Daniel are down by the water, he leans in and he kisses her. Then he says he is sorry, he can’t and he walks away.
Audrey is in the parking garage, her new guy friend is there and she invites him to eat with her, he says yes. Inside Audrey’s apartment, he is a marketing exec and he invites her to dinner sometime at a nearby restaurant.
Alex in his kitchen, he sees Morgan’s profile on a dating app.
Shaun is in bed, he says he is thinking about work. He saved his patient’s arm and he should be happy. He didn’t lie, he is thinking about his patient and all of a sudden gets up and tells Lea he has to go. He heads over to Aaron’s apartment and tells him that he figured out how they can cure Audrey’s paralysis.
