In tonight’s The Masked Singer episode, the show opened up to a rendition of “Rainbow Connection. Some might not have heard of this song before, but it originated with the Muppets. It was Muppet night and Kermit actually played the banjo and sang along with the rest of the cast to open up “The Masked Singer”. It should also be noted that wherever Kermit goes that he was followed by Ms. Piggy. Ms. Piggy was her sassy self as usual. She made fun of Ken. She remembered him from his PA days and told them the coffee was always cold…just like his guesses. Ms. Piggy was fun and so was Kermit. Kermit didn’t just get to play with the cast. He also got to play with the contestants.

Up first was Robo Girl. Her clues packages held a little of everything. She revealed she goes by a stage name. She also revealed she’s connected to “honey” in some way. As in the actual honey that comes from bees. The last clue meanwhile was a photo of Lindsey Lohan. They didn’t know if she was in a movie with Lohan or if she was calling herself a mean girl, but there were a lot of clues. Robo Girl performed the song “Bohemian Rhapsody” with Kermit playing the piano. Her voice sounded so different than it did in the past that no one knew who she was. And that’s when Ms. Piggy’s interrogation came in handy.

Ms. Piggy was given about 20 seconds to interrogate the contestants. They had to answer truthfully and so she asked Robo Girl some questions. She asked if Robo Girl was a singer or an actor. Robo Girl replied she was both. She also admitted she’s been in about six movies. Ms. Piggy didn’t get to ask any more questions after that because time was called and so the judges all had to make their guesses based on what they saw. Ms. Piggy said alien technology made it possible that she could be speaking to herself. Nicole thought Robo Girl was America Ferrara. Jenny thought Robo Girl could be Shay Mitchell. And all of these options were booed at by the audience.

Well, all except for Ms. Piggy. No one would dare to boo Ms. Piggy. Next up was the Beetle. The Beetle’s clues indicated that he either played a judge or acted as a judge on a panel and that his name has been up headlining a movie. He also confessed that he was in the biggest movie of the 90s. He said he’s been to the theatre on the West End. But the biggest clues come from his voice. The Beetle performed “The Way You Look Tonight”. He has a very soulful voice. He could be an actual jazz singer and so Ms. Piggy’s interrogation was important for this one. Ms. Piggy asked him a couple of silly questions about whether or not she would like what was under the mask and if he had a nice haircut.

The good part came when she asked him if he’s won any awards. He said he has a couple of Emmys. Ms. Piggy thought he could be John Laroquette from Night Court. Nicole thought he could Mr. Bean and that the Beetle was secretly English. Ken thought the Beetle could be Michael Myers. Myers is from Canada. A land far far away. Like his clue package stated he was. Myers has also been in the two biggest movies of the 90s. The audience seemed to think Ken was right about this one. He liked his choice better than anyone else’s. Only Jenny didn’t think it was Michael Myers. She thought the Beetle could be Jerry Springer.

Then there was the last solo performance. The last solo came from the Lambs. It was three women. They were dressed up as lambs. Their clue package also had a little of everything. They seem to be connected or possible like golf. There was a pair of jeans that said “famous” on it. That could indicate that they come from a famous family or that they have a clothing line. The group also mentioned that they grew up best friends. But they sounded like professional singers. It might truly be their day job. They sounded great when they performed “Hot N Cold”. Ms. Piggy asked several silly questions again before she got to all the important ones. She asked this group who was the most famous person they’d ever worked with.

The Lambs admitted they’ve worked with Paul McCartney. Which proved that they are singers. The judges all named various musical groups. Nicole thought they were HAIM. Robin thought they were the Dixie Chicks who go by the name of the Chicks now. It was just Ken who went completely left field and he said the Lambs could be the Kardashians. Naturally, the audience booed at that point. But it came time for the audience to vote and they voted out the Beetle first. The Beetle was revealed to be Jerry Springer. Just like Jenny and Robin both thought. Robin had joined the bandwagon late, but he won points by seeing the benefits in what Jenny was saying.

There was also the Battle Royale. Robo Girl performed against the Lambs in an all-female battle. They performed “Call Me”. They all sounded great and yet someone needed to be eliminated. And that person was Robo Girl.

Ken thought she could be Sydney Sweeney. Jenny was sticking to her guess of Shay Mitchell. Nicole thought she could be Liza Koshy. Robin thought she could be Keke Palmer. Ms. Piggy still thought she could be herself. But Robo Girl turned out to be Kat Graham from “Vampire Diaries”.

THE END!
