Tonight’s episode begins with Devon who is in a class watching a clinic trial being shown to students. Meanwhile, Irving is trying to save a boy’s life, Tyrell Tallent, he stops chest compressions, it is too late, the time of death is called. Tyrell od’d on Ariprprazole what was prescribed by Conrad.

Devon is doing a clinical trial on a patient who has cancer, he tells him that he needs to tell him if he gets flu-like symptoms. After a little while, the patient has trouble breathing and flu-like symptoms.

Another patient comes in an emergency in respiratory distress, Irving attends with Leela. Her right lung is collapsed, Leela has to do a decompression so she breathes better. They start with numbing her, success, the woman can breathe.

Kit arrives in her office, Randolph tells her that it’s just the way she left it. Conrad called to say that he was on the way to the FBI. Randolph tells her that he is leaving things in her capable hands.

Leela and Devon are talking to her sister who wants Leela to donate an egg to her and a sperm donor will be the father. Leela tells her to give her time to think about it. Devon tries to say something and Leela says, my body, my sister.

Conrad meets with the FBI, when he goes into the room Kincaid is there and she says she realized that he shouldn’t have to navigate this alone. Conrad is told that 163 antipsychotic prescriptions were written in his name in the last two months at six different clinics. They think he is a small part of a bigger fraud case. They got the information when Chastain had a ransomware attack a few years ago.

AJ is with his mom, she has baked for him and she tells him that she knows her days are numbered.

Devon’s clinical patient is ok, but his wife is worried that every dose might take this effect on him. It’s time for his second dose, the patient asked his wife to go get a bite, he doesn’t want her there. He gets his second dose and he is in the worst condition, Devon messages Conrad to come in and give a second opinion.

Randolph is with the board, he brings up a case where the surgeon damaged a spinal cord of a patient and now she is a paraplegic and she had filed a complaint. He thinks they should dig into the doctor’s files and give the patient a hearing. He is old to simmer down and the board is not going to do anything about this case.

Conrad is with Kincaid, they left the FBI. She says it started when she was a resident, the hospital was ripping off medicare. She called the medicare fraud tip line, she wore a wire and got them what they needed. The FBI asked her to continue working with them and she said yes. Eventually, she was identified as an FBI operative and her life was in danger. She tells him that she likes him, but it ends there. She doesn’t get involved with anyone and they shouldn’t get involved with her, she may disappear.

Leela is with her patient who is now coughing up blood, she calls in AJ for a second opinion.

Randolph tells Kit what happened with the board, but he has an idea. He calls the patient who was paralyzed. He meets with the patient and tells her that the board might not do anything but he will.

Devon’s patient is on his third dose and is now on dialysis and he is being incubated. Devon tells Conrad that he knew the dangers, Conrad reminds him that he did what the patient wanted. Devon wants his patient to survive, so he can show his students that the clinical trial was a success. In a few hours, Devon’s patient turns around, he is getting better, the clinical trial was a sucess.

Leela sits down with Devon, she tells him that she is not sure if she wants kids now or at all. So she is going to give her sister the eggs and freeze some for herself to give her time to think about it.
