Los Angeles – LAX – John Nolan picks up Simone for her first official day as an agent. Meanwhile, several men beat a man strapped to a chair. Simone arrives at her dad’s house. She plans to stay until she can find a place.

It will be tough since her dad works in Police Reform.

Simone and Brendon arrive for their first day. Brendon gets a training agent while Simone gets sent to do background checks. She isn’t happy. Brendan’s immigration starts with a man named Victor who was found dead. They need to find his killer. He has done some extensive work for the pentagon and more.

Simone reports to her unit late. Her boss tells her to get to work. After a bit, she tracks down the man who hired her and asks to be transferred. Brendon rides with his partner Laura. She comments on his weak stomach, which she has already picked up on, and his tight suit. At the crime scene, he gets sick and is also recognized as the vampire cop from that show on TV. He goes outside for some air and talks to Simone. She sees someone behind him. The man runs. Brendon catches him and splits his pants. They take the man in and learn who they are looking for.

Angela calls Simone for help to talk to an inmate who knows their suspect. Simone gets a name and brings it back to superior Garza who is annoyed but somewhat impressed. She wants in on the unit she was supposed to be in. Garza covers for her for ditching her assigned post. She heads out into the field to find their suspect Tristan.

They track down Tristan’s “brother” from the group home and get some background on who Tristan has been hanging with. Simone calls John and fills him in. She takes off after one suspect while her training officer and John get the others. They get into a shoot-out. Simon talks to the suspect at a red light. He gets away but she scratches him, getting his DNA.

Brendan comes to the scene. He looks over the evidence. He is great with computers and works to salvage the hard drives. Carter gets approached by an associate. She makes him an offer but he refuses to be a mole. Meanwhile, Simone scares off her dad’s lady friend when she arrives home. Her dad isn’t thrilled.

The next day at work, Simone continues on the case, excited she is sticking around. They all talk about the case before heading out to get their suspect. On the plane, Simone recalls checking the background of a scientist-turned-janitor at the place they are headed to The Federal Reserve. He must be helping Tristan from the inside.

Inside a building, the janitor seems off the fire alarms. Simone and the team arrive. Brendon and his training officer take one of them down. Carter saves Simone when one of them lets go of an explosive. They get their two suspects after the explosion. Simone thinks she and Carter make a good team.
