Tonight’s episode begins with Angela calling John to go over to help her with a shelf that fell down. Meanwhile, Lucy reveals that her dad was not her dad, but she doesn’t really care. Later Nolan and Harper arrive at the station and Skip Tracer Randy is there, he is now a bounty hunter and he is on his first case. Harper asks him to call her if he runs into any trouble. Harper looks into the bounty case that Randy is doing, the bounty is 250k for Ivy Flynn. With a bounty that high, there will be serious people on both sides of the law who will be looking for her.
Chen and Bradford arrive on the scene, of a vehicle explosion. Someone torched it with a Molotov cocktail. The owner of the vehicle says a woman did it, drove up in a motorcycle.
Nolan and Harper go get information about the case that Randy is on, her clients are powerful, she transitioned from sex worker to madam. Just then, Randy calls Harper and says he found Ivy, he gives her the address and says he is in trouble. Harper and Nolan head there and find a man with a gunshot wound in his left shoulder. He says a woman broke in and demanded money, then shot him. Randy is there, he says that he overheard the whole thing, the man is lying, he and Ivy were arguing about money.
Wesley arrives on a new job that requires a real lawyer to act in a television show, Grey referred him as a favor to Angela. Wesley then brings Sabrina, the actress in the show, for a tour of the station.
Randy leads Harper and Nolan to a place where Ivy is getting a fake passport, when they get there they see a woman about to attack her and jump out of the car, Ivy gets away and the other woman was another bounty hunter. Randy tells Nolan that he knows a girl that knows Ivy, but she hates Harper.
Sabrina goes missing in the station, they find her in an interrogation room.
Bradford and Chen arrive at an apartment building where the owner was pepper-sprayed by a tenant who has been skipping on her rent.
Nolan brings Penelope to talk, he leaves her in a room with Harper and she tells her that she used her history as a sex worker against her. Harper apologizes but says it is Donovan who couldn’t get past it, so she should be happy before she married him. Penelope says if Ivy is hiding out, she is doing it in style and she knows a suite that she keeps reserved for her top clients.
Bradford and Chen find Jordan, who pepper-sprayed her landlord. Jordan tells them that she had breast cancer, but is in remission now. She lit her ex’s car on fire but he was rude to her. Her boss fired her for being late when went to chemo, her landlord raised her rent. So she decided, she was making her own karma, and if they want to arrest her, it was worth it.
Chen meets with her aunt, she tells her that her mom prepaid for her to get her eggs frozen. Then she asks her about her birth father, she wants to know about her DNA. She tells her that her mother slept with her patient, that is who her father is, and if it got out it would have ruined her career.
Sabrina and Wesley are walking down the street, he points out some drug dealers to her and Sabrina runs over them in character and almost gets herself in trouble until one of the men recognizes and uses the opportunity as a photo opportunity.
Chen gets the name of her father, Patrick Walsh.
Nolan and Harper are with Randy, they head to the room that Ivy keeps reserved and find her inside. There is someone at the door, Randy answers it and gets shot in the chest. Harper and Nolan take over the shooter and Ivy takes off. The shooter is a member of a motorcycle gang, the Dead Bastards. Randy is fine he had a bulletproof vest on. Nolan and Randy go after Ivy. Nolan is in the garage trying to get Ivy when other gang members show up and bullets start spraying everywhere. Randy comes through the door and gets shot a second time. Backup arrives, Nolan has control.
Chen finds out that her father is dead, she didn’t even get a chance to know him. He was killed in a car crash five years ago, no family, no wife, no kids, he was alone.
Randy thanks Harper and Nolan, he says he could have done it without them, but still thanks them. Nolan tells Harper he is good, in small doses.
