In tonight’s The Rookie episode, Nolan pulls over a guy, he admits to having knife in his back pocket and his small knife around his neck, then more, he probably has about 15. Juarez tells him the trunk starts to growl.
Angela walks into the kitchen and Wesley is staring into space, he is worried that Elijah Stone is going to walk. She tells him hat the Rico case against Elijah is solid.
At the station, Jackson comes in with Nyla’s daughter, he had a problem with the breast milk.
Thorsen tells Bradford that he is surprised he is back to work after getting a bullet in him. Chen and Sanford notice that Bradford is grumpy, Thorsten says he doesn’t know why.
Nolan and Juarez are called to a bank because of some bills a woman is trying to deposit, she says she got them from a garage sale.
Wesley arrives at the court house and sees Monika, she says she is there for the deposition, Elijah Stone is her client. He tells her it is a mistake, she says she is billing him $800 an hour.
Thorsen and Bradford are on patrol, a woman seems to be having a hard time putting a prop warewolf in her truck, they stop to help her. They both get it in the truck, and while Bradford is on his cell phone, he forgets his radio transmitter in the pickup truck.
At a dumpster fire, Nolan and Juarez are called because there is money is inside that was burning. In one of the wads of cash, there is a transmitter
The woman in the pick returns the radio to a cop she sees on the street, Chen, who is thrilled to get it since Bradford once gave her heck for being 3 minutes late for rollcall. Meanwhile, Bradford gets a text message with a photo of his radio.
Xavier, from the Dea is in the station to discuss the cash in the dumpster, its from an old case that was never solved. The money in the dumpster and the bills the woman was depositing in the bank were one and the same.
Bradford gets another photo of his radio.
Nolan, Juarez and the Dea head to the woman’s house who was depositing the bills, Macy, they find her dead, and she lives in a really upscale neighborhood. The Sea says Macy is the key, they need to tear her place apart.
Wesley gets so annoyed in the deposition, he gets up and walks out.
Bradford figures out that Chen did it. He asks her if this is payback for how tough he was on her when she was a rookie.
Turns out Macy paid for the nice apartment by having sugar daddies.
James tells Nyla that the Reeds are cancelling their dinner, their daughter told them that they hang out with criminals, and that is why they cancelled.
Wesley is at a bar having a drink when Monika walks in and he asks her if she took the case to get back at him. Angela walks up and sees he two of them and Monika is so caddie, she says “Oh she doesn’t know,” and she walks away. Wesley tells Angela they were engaged for about a year, and it was bad. Angela says , so much for date night.
Juarez has an idea, Macy has been spending a lot of money at the marina, maybe that is where she met her killer.
Back to the deposition, Lopez is there now and Monika is trying to get under her skin. Then, she threatens to drag the LAPD through mud if they don’t drop the case.
Chen asks Thorsen what is bother Bradford, but he won’t tell.
Nolan and Juarez head to the warf with the DEA. Shots are fired, the shooter is Winslow, he says that he was happy with Macy, she shouldn’t have found out about the money. He is arrested for killing Macy and a cop from about ten years ago.
Chen gives Bradford back his radio, he ells her that he and Ashley broke up, technically she broke up with him and her whole radio gag made him forget about it.
Elijah meets Wesley on the street in the dark, and he tells him that he told him so, he is pretty much untouchable.
