After learning about Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) convenient death, Adam comments to Victor about it. Adam says that Victor wanted Ashland gone and now he’s permanently eliminated.
Adam’s remark about Ashland’s death being a “crazy coincidence” could bring about a new issue for Victor.

While Victor doesn’t look pleased with Adam connecting the dots, he’s also not giving up any information.
Victor knows Adam is looking at Ashland’s convenient death as an opportunity.
Adam might not be able to prove anything just yet, but he could come across some interesting information that gives him the upper hand.
Could Victor end up forcing Victoria to give up the CEO position to keep Adam under control? That remains to be seen but it certainly is a possibility.
Nick Newman Demands Answers
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Nick confronts Victor about Ashland’s car accident. Nick demands to know what Victor did.
After all, Nick is the one who killed Ashland. So, Nick is worried that Victor’s damage control could end up in him being arrested.
In Nick’s mind, he needs to know all the facts and doesn’t like being pulled into this complicated mess.
It was bad enough that Ashland never woke up after being knocked to the ground. Nick wants to tell the truth.
Any type of cover-up could make things even worse for Nick as well as everyone else.

During the week of August 1, Victor won’t give Nick any solid answers. In fact, Nick making demands only ignites Victor’s rage.
In the weekly preview clip, Victor screams that he doesn’t care that Ashland is dead. Victor adds that nobody else cares either.
While that might be true, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) has a case to solve. So, this storyline could get much more complicated.
