The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 27, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has a chat with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), thanking him for coming to Christmas at the ranch with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey)
Victor suggests that while Chelsea is dealing with her mental health, Adam should keep Connor away from his mother.
Adam thinks Chelsea is a wonderful mother, and Connor is lucky to have her.
Victor thinks Chelsea may need time to get better before adding the stress of being a mother.
Victor not only wants Adam to keep Chelsea away from Connor but wants Connor to live with him part-time. He said it was the perfect situation and would allow them to rebuild their relationship.
Adam isn’t sure about a relationship with Victor. He doesn’t like how Victor casts him out of the family whenever he sees fit. He doesn’t miss the feeling of rejection when he doesn’t do whatever his dad wants.
At the club, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), and Daniel Romalotti, Jr (Michael Graziadei) pose for a photo.
Y&R spoilers say that Phyllis posts the picture, tagging them on social media.
Phyllis questions whether Daniel called his family on Christmas. Daniel acted weird, stating he hadn’t gotten a chance to call his family yet.
The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Danny presses Daniel for answers about what’s going on with his family.
But he thinks Daniel needs to work harder to connect with his daughter. Phyllis and Danny urge him to open up about what’s troubling him.
Daniel said that he’s failed as a father and husband.
When his painting career tanked, he became bitter about Heather Stevens’s (Jennifer Landon) career success.
Daniel admits he could have handled the situation much better.
He started drinking too much and sunk into a deep depression. That’s why he came to Genoa City, where he remembers feeling happy.
Daniel said he made his family so miserable that they moved across the world to escape. Phyllis’s concerned, offering her support to her son.
Young and the Restless spoilers state that Daniel hopes he will reunite with his family, but for now, he wants to focus on his career to crawl out of rock bottom. He asks Danny to write the music for the gaming platform.
Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) reads an article about Danny. She thinks about their first Christmas and when she discovered his affair with Phyllis.
It’s clear she’s caught up in her feelings for Danny.
Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) runs into Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) at the park.
They talk about their divorce and Christmas at the Abbott and Newman houses. He asks if she saw Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) for Christmas.
Abby looked hesitant to answer. Chance asked to see Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware), but Abby said that he’s with Devon.
Abby calls Devon to ask if Chance can stop by to see Dominic. He’ll leave and let Chance visit with his son.
At Crimson Lights, Chelsea catches up with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about Christmas at the ranch. She said that Victor has trust issues with her.
Chelsea said Adam was great at staying close to her to ensure she didn’t get overwhelmed.
Billy said if she needed support, he would be there for her. He’s only a call away.
The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Devon expressed his concerns about the IPO with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). He doesn’t want to give up control of the company.
Devon thinks it’s the wrong time and wants to keep Chancellor Winters as is. He let it slip out that he talked to Tucker McCall (Trevor St John) about it, and he agreed it was a bad idea.
Lily couldn’t believe he’d talk to Tucker about CW.
Daniel asks his mother to work with him. He knows she lost her job and thinks it would be good to work together.
Phyllis appreciates the offer but hopes Summer Newman (Allison lanier) will change her mind.
Danny presses for Phyllis to open up about Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). She explains Diane’s past in Los Angeles and how everyone is against her.
Phyllis said it baffles her. Danny offers his support and urges her to work with their son. Phyllis accepts.
Daniel catches up with Lily and learns he wants to bring Phyllis to his team. She has reservations about Phyllis.
