The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 28, reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) talk about Christmas, and the talk turns to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
Nick praises Victoria for handling the Chelsea situation so well. She said it’s a difficult situation, but she is managing the best she can.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) informs Nick and Victoria that Adam refused to return to Newman Enterprises. Victoria is not surprised.
Y&R spoilers say that Nick and Victoria think Adam will never want to be a part of the family, so they believe Victor should let it go.
Victor said that is coming from someone parading around town with Adam’s ex-love Sally.
Victor thinks that Sally is bad news for Nick. That’s when Nick has had enough of the conversation and tells his dad that he refuses to let him manipulate him. He threatens that if it continues, Victor won’t like where it takes them.
At the coffee house, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) remembers her date with Nick and being sick to her stomach. She sips a hot tea to ease her nausea when Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) approaches her.
Adam admits that he had a pleasant Christmas despite spending Christmas at his father’s house. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Adam notices something is bothering Sally and asks what’s wrong.
Y&R spoilers reveal that Adam asks when she started drinking herbal tea. He thinks she is hiding something from him.
Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) shows up to talk to Sally. She notices she’s drinking herbal tea and wonders why.
Chloe asks Sally to smell the delicious muffin, and Sally refuses. She said the smell was making her feel sick.
Sally and Chloe prepare their business proposal for Chancellor-Winters. Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Chloe notices Sally isn’t feeling well.
She wonders if Adam is bothering her, making her feel anxious. Sally didn’t answer because she had to run to the bathroom.
Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) catch up. She tells Summer that Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) is in town.
Phyllis drops the bombshell Daniel Romalotti, Jr (Michael Grazaidei) offered her a job, which she accepted.
Phyllis said she wanted to check with Summer in case she would reconsider firing her. But Summer refuses to change her mind and hopes it doesn’t affect their relationship.
Summer thinks the job offer from Daniel is a good idea. Phyllis cries that she thinks she’s lost her daughter.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) talk about Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).
Jack thinks it’s bad for her to leave the cabin, but Diane doesn’t care. It’s time to stop him.
Jeremy looks at a briefcase full of money. Y&R spoilers state that Jeremy’s phone rings, and it’s Diane on the other side of the phone.
Diane doesn’t want to talk over the phone; she wants to meet in person. They agree to meet at Society.
Diane informs Jack that she got away from Stark once before, and she can do it again.
Diane doesn’t want Jack and Kyle to worry about her. She can set a trap for him and get rid of him for good.
At Newman Enterprises, Victor asked Victoria if she was still trying to acquire Chancellor-Winters.
Victoria said she lost her leverage and could not find information about the company or the shares. He recommends she let it go if she sees no way.
At the club, Nick sits down at the bar with Adam. Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Nick praised Adam for doing such an excellent job at Newman Media.
Adam is shocked that Nick would offer a compliment to him. Nick is clearly upset about how Victor spoke to him and needs to talk to someone who understands.
Adam points out that Nick’s true love will always be Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).
At Crimson Lights, Sally apologizes for leaving to go to the bathroom. Chloe asks if Sally could be pregnant. Sally denies it being a possibility, quickly changing the subject.
At Society, Diane meets with Jeremy. She hopes he is glad to see her after she tells him why she wants to meet him.
Diane wants a truce, but Jeremy must compromise with her, too. Jack lurks nearby.
Sally returns to her room, still feeling sick, looks at her phone’s calendar, and realizes she’s late.
Nick arrives for their date. They were supposed to have drinks. Sally cancels, saying she’s feeling under the weather.
At Newman, Victor praises Victoria for doing such a fantastic job. He wants her to learn to delegate and step back when necessary.
