The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) could be gearing up for a surprise romantic pairing. Will this widow finally move on from Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) by getting together with Billy?
Of course, this possibility hasn’t materialized on screen yet since Billy is still with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) for now.
Sharon also admitted to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that she wasn’t quite ready to get back out there and date.
However, Sharon will indeed need another love interest eventually.
Likewise, Billy seems poised to need one of his own since Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) is coming back and may be paired with Lily since she’s his former flame.
Billy and Sharon once had a little lonely broken hearts club, so it might be time to revive that and bring them closer again.
The show toyed with the idea of pairing Sharon and Billy back in 2018, but it never really went anywhere.
This could be a second chance since there’s some potential inside buzz about a Billy and Sharon romance.
It’s not a done deal, but word has it that the show’s at least considering doing “Shilly” in the months ahead.
You can bet Sharon Case would be on board based on an interview with Daytime Confidential back in September.
Case was asked if there was someone specific that she hadn’t worked closely with that she would still like to.
That led to Case admitting she’d love to work more with Jason Thompson and Jess Walton.
If Sharon gets paired with Billy, Case just might get her wish!
Dating Billy would certainly lead to scenes with his mom, so Case could work with both Thompson and Walton.
Case also acknowledged Sharon and Billy’s short romantic history, but she pointed out that it’d been many years since they’d had anything significant.
Could that change once Billy is single and perhaps begins leaning on Sharon?
Regardless, the buzz about this potential duo is worth pondering since Sharon and Billy have great chemistry!
