The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) may be gearing up for a bedroom betrayal. Will Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) pay the price for pushing his wife away?
It’s true that Abby can be impatient and demanding at times, but it’s hard to blame her considering Chance’s history. Chance bailed on Abby without warning and nearly died in Spain, so she went through the entire surrogacy process alone.
Even after Abby found out Chance was alive and tracked him down, she practically had to drag him back home. Chance was determined to complete his mission, but Abby finally talked him into returning to Genoa City for his family’s sake.
Of course, that plan didn’t work out very well. Chance struggled to cope with civilian life and had trouble bonding with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) due to the time he’d missed.
Once Chance finally got his life together, he threw himself into work and now misses out on family bonding constantly. It’s no wonder Abby is frustrated at this point – and it’s not surprising that she’s growing closer to Devon as she faces these marital woes.
Some fans might feel like Devon and Abby have been in the friend zone too long for anything steamy to happen. Others might feel like an Abby and Devon hookup is a long time coming!
Regardless, there’s surely a reason why Y&R writers are pushing Devon and Abby together now. Abby has definitely been leaning on Devon more often – and Devon has been leaning on Abby, too.
Devon and Abby have a forever bond through their biological connection to Dominic, so that’s important to keep in mind, too. Abby may feel like Devon is showing up as a father in a way that Chance isn’t right now.
Whatever the case, November sweeps spoilers say Chance and Abby’s marriage turmoil will kick off a shocking chain reaction. That sounds like a huge deal, so the climax of the story could be Abby ending up in Devon’s bed!
Will Chance make a cheating discovery down the road? Regardless, Abby and Chance could be teetering on the edge of divorce before you know it.
