The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) dirty Newman side may come out. Abby could protect Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) over her marriage as the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) case heats up, so let’s talk about what’s ahead on Y&R.
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is determined to find out what really happened the night Ashland died, so it’s easy to see that trouble’s brewing.
There have already been several mentions of Victor being Chance’s father-in-law, but he won’t let that stop him from doing his job.
Of course, this is a major conflict of interest, so Chance honestly has no business investigating this case.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) called Chance for help since he was family, but now things are getting into a tricky area.
That’s because Victor has launched an unnecessary cover-up and made the situation so much worse.
Unfortunately, Chance is on the verge of discovering some unsettling evidence with Kevin Fisher’s (Greg Rikaart) help – and it could lead Chance to the conclusion that Victor is indeed guilty.
Abby will then find Chance doing something she disapproves of during the week of August 1-5.
We’ll see Chance get caught in a compromising position, so Abby’s going to want some answers.
Maybe Abby will catch Chance digging somewhere he doesn’t belong and realize he’s trying to prove Victor staged Ashland’s car crash in the ravine.
Abby knows her father well enough to realize he’s capable of that, but she obviously won’t want Chance to send Victor to prison.
Is Chance going to keep digging until he has enough to send Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) grandpa to the slammer?
Abby may feel like Chance is being disloyal as this storyline moves along, so she may push him to just back off.
Since Ashland was a monster who lied about his cancer and ultimately threatened to kill Victoria, Abby may feel like the world’s better off without him in it.
As far as Abby’s concerned, she may think Chance needs to close the case and just move on.
Chance won’t be able to do that when new evidence of a coverup starts piling up, so this could really put Abby’s marriage to the test.
It could bring out Abby’s dirty Newman side as she tries to protect Victor at the expense of her relationship.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby and Chance will surely end up facing some shouting matches soon, so stay tuned.
