The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may demand time with Christian Newman (last played by Alex Wilson) if he gets inspired by Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) push for Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) bonding.
Chelsea wants Johnny to know she’s his biological mother and would like to have a place in his life.
Although Chelsea doesn’t intend to move in on Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) territory as an adoptive mom, she still wants to have her own bond with Johnny.
Likewise, Chelsea wants Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to know Johnny is his half-brother so that they can hopefully form a deeper connection.
Once Chelsea starts taking steps toward all these goals, Adam may get a spark of inspiration.
After all, Christian is Connor’s half-brother as well. It’d be easy for Adam to decide Chelsea has the right idea, which could lead to some outrage from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
There was a restraining order keeping Adam away at one point, but Y&R hasn’t really addressed the whole Christian situation in quite some time. Perhaps now is the perfect opportunity to revisit it.
The older Christian gets, the more Adam may want some form of a relationship with him. Like Chelsea, Adam might argue that he’s not trying to plot a parent takeover here.
Even so, Adam may make it his next mission to carve out a spot in Christian’s life.
There could be a new court battle if need be, but it’d be interesting if Christian himself expressed a desire to bond with Adam.
Christian knows the truth about his bio dad since Adam spilled the beans.
Although that confused Christian back then, he’s probably old enough by now to grasp what that means and wonder why Adam isn’t part of his world.
If Nick intentionally keeps Christian and Adam apart, it could lead to resentment one day.
That’s definitely not something Nick wants, but he’s also protective of Christian and wouldn’t want to feel like his role as a dad is being threatened.
Of course, this could lead to some great Newman family drama and perhaps help Adam reconnect with Chelsea over their similar dilemmas.
Regardless, Chelsea’s interest in Johnny could renew Adam’s interest in Christian, so we’ll see how it goes!
