The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may expose Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) sabotage. Will Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) new hire blow the whistle?
Jack recently offered Adam a job at Jabot in hopes of giving him a new sense of purpose.
It’d be a win-win since Jack could use someone to take Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) place.
If Adam came on board, Jack would have the extra help he needed and Adam could hopefully head down a fresh path.
Of course, we know Adam will be focused on a sinister strategy against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) during the week of August 22-26, but he may break free from the Newman orbit eventually.
The show’s letting Adam backslide a bit into his wicked ways, but he’ll turn things around at some point.
Even if Adam rejects Jack’s job offer now, he might change his mind in the not-too-distant future.
There’s surely a reason that Jack offered this position – especially with all the hints about the Newman and Abbott war that’s looming.
It just makes sense to have Adam working for the enemy when that Y&R battle heats up.
Naturally, that’d also put Adam in a position to uncover Phyllis’ takedown strategy.
Since Adam has a scheming mind, he may pick up on clues that others can’t see.
Adam has a complicated history with Diane, but he’s not out to get her like Phyllis, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
With that in mind, Adam might be the one to blow the whistle on Phyllis and her partners in crime.
Phyllis is their person on the inside, but this could still lead to Adam connecting the dots and exposing her accomplices.
Jack would want to know about Phyllis scheming to destroy Kyle’s mom and putting Marchetti as well as Jabot in jeopardy.
Phyllis thinks she can contain the sabotage and make sure Diane is the only one affected, but she has no guarantees.
Since Jack has been a good friend to Adam, this could serve as a chance for Adam to return the favor and prove his worth at Jabot.
Phyllis and Adam don’t get along anyway, so maybe he’ll ruin her plot and make sure Jack knows Diane is innocent this time around.
