The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) seems ready to plot his revenge and go after what Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) loves most. Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) fresh start at Chancellor Industries could be in jeopardy, so let’s talk about the Y&R drama that’s brewing.
Adam wasn’t pleased when Billy came blowing into his office and ranted about how stupid Adam was for taking the bait.
Billy spelled out how he was going to bring Adam down and gloated since his enemy never saw it coming.
Billy took great satisfaction in that and pushed Adam’s buttons over what an epic failure he was.
Of course, Billy’s smug attitude didn’t make much sense under the circumstances.
Billy was throwing in the towel on his own plan – a plan that Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) admitted wasn’t working!
Adam certainly wasn’t taking the bait like Billy claimed and barely even cared what he was doing.
It’s highly doubtful that Adam was ever going to publish any scandalous story, so Billy looked like the stupid one for tossing apple juice receipts around and acting like he’d accomplished something.
All Billy managed to do was reignite a feud that perhaps could’ve gone dormant if he’d accepted defeat and left things alone.
Now Adam is dwelling on Billy’s insults and seems determined to prove Billy is the epic failure, not the other way around.
Adam will want to hit Billy where it hurts, so the best way to do that will be targeting Lily in her new CEO job at Chancellor Industries.
Billy now wants to be Lily’s right-hand man, so he’s prepared to accept the COO role and help her succeed.
Unfortunately, Billy may help Lily crash and burn instead! By provoking Adam’s vengeful wrath, Billy could put Lily’s job of a lifetime at risk.
That could put Billy and Lily’s solid relationship on shaky ground as well and leave Billy wishing he hadn’t pushed Adam too far.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam’s eerie text to wish Lily luck on January 7 could be a sign of bad things to come!
