The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) could sabotage the Chancellor-Winters’ launch party and carry out a new plot to destroy the competition.
There’s a lot riding on this bash to debut the merger and tease new plans, so it’s the ideal time and place for Sally and Adam to strike.
Sally has already been wary about the possibility of Chancellor-Winters being a threat once this launch happens.
Adam tried to downplay Sally’s concerns, but he could have some of his own following a confrontation with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) in the June 1 episode.
Ashland worked to get inside Adam’s head about Chancellor-Winters and how they’d crush Adam’s little old media division.
Between Sally and Ashland, Adam may be letting some doubts creep in about being able to stand tall against Chancellor-Winters.
That’s especially true since Adam hasn’t been able to explore all the visions for Newman Media that he had in mind.
Adam pitched something similar to Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) podcast project and has been irritated over his rival’s success.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is standing in Adam’s way since she doesn’t like to approve her brother’s ideas.
All of this could add up to the perfect storm of Adam thinking he has to make a bold move – something to stop Chancellor-Winters before their media division chews them up and spits them out.
Since there’s been so much focus on this looming launch party, Adam might decide they need to cut out the competition early on.
By sabotaging this bash, it’d present an opportunity to ruin Chancellor-Winters’ future before the merger ever gets off the ground.
Naturally, Sally would support any plan Adam might come up with. Sally could even be the one to suggest it depending on how Y&R writers want to take things.
Regardless, Adam and Sally are a team, so they would certainly stand together on this and have some fun scheming to take Chancellor-Winters down.
