Y&R fans know Nate and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) had a difference of opinion going into Chancellor-Winters’ merger launch party.
Devon wanted to hold back and just offer a little taste at this event, but Nate thought they should get into specifics and really generate some buzz.
After Nate’s decision to go with his gut and leak details on the 50 new podcasts they have in the works, things will seemingly work out – but for how long?
There’s no drama if Nate’s call truly ends up being the right one. Instead, there could be some delayed consequences.
Now that Adam is taking over as Newman Enterprises’ CEO and Sally is running the show at Newman Media, they’re set to become quite the formidable duo.
Adam is going to throw his full support behind Newman Media and make sure it can truly compete with Chancellor-Winters.
Of course, we know Adam was previously irritated over not getting a chance to carry out his own grand plans.
Adam actually had an idea similar to Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) when it came to this podcast division, so he wasn’t happy to see Chancellor-Winters having success with it.
This could be an opportunity for Sally and Adam to steal their competitor’s thunder.
After all, teasing a project is one thing, but what happens if Adam and Sally put a rush on their own amazing podcast division and beat Chancellor-Winters to the punch?
Maybe Sally and Adam could even shoot for 100 podcasts or something that’ll make Chancellor-Winters’ offering look weak.
There’s the potential for Nate’s secret spillage to light a fire in Adam, who’ll be eager to crush Billy like a bug anyway.
Sally will be all for helping Adam make his mark as Newman Enterprises’ new leader – and this could make her look good at Newman Media as well. Adam and
Sally could roll out their own podcasts faster than Chancellor-Winters and try to leave them in the dust!
Bottom line, something tells us the risk Nate thinks is paying off won’t actually pay off in the end.
There has to be some twist brewing that’ll tank Chancellor-Winters hard and stir up some trouble.
