Let’s face it: Adam and Sally are way too blissful right now for things to keep coasting alone.
There has to be some major hurdle brewing, especially since Victor only promoted Adam as a way to provoke Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) into returning home.
That’s not a real vote of confidence in Adam and his abilities.
Meanwhile, we know Victoria intends to build a new empire with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and go after Newman Enterprises.
Victoria specifically wants to take down Newman Media since it’s the division Adam built – the division that Sally is now CEO of.
There’s the potential for things to head downhill fast for Sally and Adam, so what happens when their business dreams all fall apart?
Adam and Sally can scheme to reclaim their spots at the top or perhaps find a new path to success.
However, Y&R could deliver some conflict between them in the meantime.
Victor has always warned Adam about the dangers of mixing business with pleasure, so that could come into play here.
Adam’s professional drama could affect his personal life with Sally, particularly if they’re both flailing and trying to stop their success from slipping away.
Victoria is relentless and currently has something to prove, so Adam and Sally’s newfound power could be at risk.
That’s especially true since Victor has proven he’ll almost always forgive Victoria’s blunders and act like nothing is her fault.
Since Victoria tends to get so many chances with Victor and Adam always seems to get treated shabbily, Adam’s latest reign on the throne may not last long.
There could be trouble for Sally at Newman Media as well, so this could present a crisis that will really put her relationship with Adam to the test.
Is a make-or-break-it moment coming up for Adam and Sally? Will they find themselves facing an obstacle that could make them stronger or blow them up?
