The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam Top Suspect in Ashland Murder Investigation – Accused After Baddie’s Botched Getaway?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) could become the top suspect in an Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) murder investigation. Adam may be accused after this baddie’s botched getaway, so let’s look at some ominous clues.

For starters, the character of Ashland is seemingly being written into a corner that can only end with his exit.

That exit could be a deadly one, especially if Adam’s hint in the March 16 episode was any indication.

While discussing strategies for dealing with Ashland, Adam cracked a joke that could seal Ashland’s fate.

“Guess that murder is out of the question then,” Adam said to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Although Adam confirmed he was just kidding, we have to think about this from the writers’ perspective.

Why have Adam joke about murdering Ashland? It just seems like an obvious setup for Ashland to actually be killed off.

If there was ever a prime murder mystery candidate, it’s Ashland.

This guy is becoming quite the loathed Genoa City resident, so there’d be no shortage of suspects.

That said, it’s interesting that Adam is the one suggesting murder – even in a joking context.

In that same conversation, Victor reminded Adam of when Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) accused him of attempted murder.

Maybe Y&R intends to put Adam in a repeat scenario – only this time, Adam will have even more to lose.

Adam has turned over a new leaf and has worked hard to repair his reputation in GC.

There are always going to be some naysayers Adam can’t convince, but he’s not the same diabolical guy who once plotted to blow up his family and had Chelsea kidnapped.

Victor warned Adam to stop pointing fingers when it came to Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle), but Adam may have to learn that lesson the hard way.

It’s easy to imagine the finger being pointed at Adam in a looming murder investigation.

Ashland will decide to plan a quick escape during the week of March 21-25, but he’s likely going to botch that getaway.

We also know Adam will rely on some of his old tricks, so he’ll be tempted to revert back to that diabolical Adam we mentioned.

That doesn’t mean Adam will be guilty of Ashland’s murder, but it does mean he could land at the top of the suspect list if a dead body is discovered!

There are definitely some hints about Ashland’s death happening, so we’ll bring you updates as other Y&R news rolls in.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam could land in some serious hot water, so stay tuned for more drama.
