The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) revenge may be back on, so the Newmans could suffer after a new takedown strategy. Let’s consider Adam’s situation and why vengeance could still be in the works.
For starters, Adam never got payback after Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) waltzed back in and reclaimed the Newman throne.
It’s clear that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) gives Victoria pass after pass, but Adam is stuck trying to prove himself and never has anything to show for it.
Now Adam has been forced to give up Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) because of Victoria’s disdain for him.
Sally didn’t ask Adam to do that, but it’s an important factor in why revenge might still be on the table.
Victoria flat-out admitted Sally wouldn’t be getting this opportunity at Newman Media if she were still connected to Adam.
It may not be Adam’s best decision, but he was right to predict Victoria would have this mentality.
Unfortunately, losing Sally could bring out the worst in Adam and make him crave revenge more than ever.
The show seems to be hinting at a possible Nick and Sally romance, so that could be another reason why Adam may ultimately want payback.
Regardless, the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) cover-up could provide a chance for Adam to get the vengeance he craves.
Adam could easily find out about Victor and Michael Baldwin’s (Christian LeBlanc) plan, so that could lead to an incriminating recording or some other form of proof against them.
This could certainly bring some major legal woes for Nick as the person responsible for Ashland’s death.
Victoria would get dragged into drama as well – and the scandal of it all could do some serious damage to Newman Enterprises as a whole.
Victor could even face the threat of jail time for orchestrating the cover-up scheme, so Adam would have a solid takedown strategy if he goes in this direction.
With Ashland gone, someone will have to step up in a more villainous role.
Now that Adam no longer has Sally to bring out the best in him, he may revert to sinister tendencies and fill that Y&R villain void for a while.
