The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) may drop a breakup bomb and end her Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) romance over a crossed line with Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway).
Y&R fans know Devon has been feeling disconnected from Amanda, who’s been spending most of her time in Virginia at Naya Benedict’s (Ptosha Storey) facility. Although Devon is sympathetic to Amanda’s situation, he still misses her and no doubt feels pretty lonely.
As for Abby, she’s dealing with loneliness and distance as well. Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) may physically be in Genoa City, but his heart is somewhere else – namely at the GCPD.
It just seems like work always comes first for Chance despite all the promises he made to his family. Abby has been growing closer to Devon and will continue to do so, so this could be building to a situation where Devon sleeps with Abby or at least kisses her.
There’s been some buzz about Amanda coming home and witnessing a close moment not meant for her eyes. Amanda may decide to surprise Devon with a return trip to GC and face a shocking sight instead.
Whether Amanda sees a lip lock or something more, she could easily spot Devon and Abby crossing the line. That could lead to Amanda deciding this just isn’t working anymore, especially since her bond with Devon wasn’t strong enough to withstand a long-distance relationship.
One way or another, Amanda and Devon seem headed for a split soon. Although Devon and Amanda certainly care about each other, it should be time for them to officially end things.
Will you be glad to see Amanda and Devon break up? Is it time to throw in the towel on this romance and accept that Devon just doesn’t have a future with Amanda?
That doesn’t necessarily mean Devon is meant to be with Abby either, but his connection to her could bring a breaking point with Amanda and spark some big changes.
