However, Ashland’s web of lies will fall apart thanks to Victor and the investigation he’s having Michael launch.
Once Ashland’s deception is exposed and he’s accused of faking his illness as part of a major power grab, what will Ashland do next?
It’s hard to believe Y&R writers will make Ashland and Victoria’s whole marriage a farce.
Instead, Ashland may wind up pouring his heart out and begging for a fresh start with Victoria.
As a way to prove his love for Victoria matters most, Ashland might suggest just leaving everything behind: the Newman family, the merged companies, all of it.
Ashland may think they should just go get the kids and run away together – perhaps before this explodes into a major scandal.
Ashland may want to get out while the getting’s good and try to hold onto the love he’s found with Victoria in the end.
That’s especially true if Victor might be able to get Ashland on fraud charges.
Ashland may ultimately fight for Victoria knowing she might be the last remaining good thing in his life.
Ashland will also want to avoid Victor’s vengeful fury, so trying to skip down with his love makes sense.
Naturally, Victoria may reject Ashland in a big way after his deception is uncovered.
Ashland may be out of luck when it comes to a future with Victoria, who’s going to feel deeply hurt and betrayed.
That won’t stop Ashland from trying to salvage things, but he seems poised to crash and burn!
