The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will get caught in a compromising situation when Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) busts Victoria Newman-Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) lying husband. Nikki will definitely have questions based on what she witnesses, so she’ll want the truth from Ashland – though it’s doubtful she’ll get it at first!
Instead, Ashland will probably come at Nikki with a boatload of excuses and explanations. He’ll cover his blunder and hope to smooth things over, but what’s this all about? What kind of compromising situation might Nikki catch Ashland in?
Ashland has a tendency to make very private phone calls when he thinks no one else is around – only to notice he’s been busted moments later. It’s possible Nikki will walk in on a questionable call and realize Ashland is still hiding things from Victoria.
Of course, it’s also possible Nikki will spot Ashland having some clandestine meeting since he’s been known to get caught having those, too. Ashland may have to explain it away as something related to business or some surprise for Victoria, but Nikki may have a feeling he’s not being honest.
Then again, there could be some other compromising situation that Nikki spies – something that offers a little more insight into Ashland’s true health status. Ashland claims to be doing remarkably well thanks to this experimental treatment in Peru, but perhaps he was never seriously ill at all.
Nikki might bust Ashland with evidence that points in that direction and wrestle over what to do about it. If Ashland eventually realizes the jig is up, he might even beg Nikki to keep quiet and protect her beloved daughter’s happiness.
Maybe Ashland was scheming once upon a time and just needed a way to get out of the lie since he’s now fallen hard for Victoria. Regardless, Ashland had an opportunity to come clean before the wedding – and that’s when he should’ve put all his cards on the table.
The fact that Ashland is still keeping secrets is going to be a huge problem for Nikki as well as Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and ultimately Victoria. As other Y&R news pops up, we’ll deliver more updates.
