Nikki will apparently steer Talia in the direction of a much more intriguing story.
Perhaps Nikki will argue that people would be far more interested in a schemer who came back from the dead than a con artist who’s gone forever.
Nikki may insist Ashland’s death was a simple car crash and tempt Talia with a scandalous Diane angle.
It should be easy for Nikki to play Diane up as a monster for letting Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) believe she was murdered when she was just a boy.
Nikki may bring up how Diane manipulated Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) through their biological connection as well.
There’s no doubt that Diane went about returning to Kyle’s life in a completely shady way.
Nikki may argue that the public will eat this story up, especially if Talia can expose Diane’s LA secrets and prove she’s still scheming.
This should have the added benefit of putting an expert on digging duty.
Nikki can kill two birds with one stone by steering Talia away from the Ashland investigation and launching a more thorough one on Diane.
This could lead to a scandalous story about Diane that goes public and shakes up the life she’s trying to rebuild in Genoa City.
The Young and the Restless spoilers Nikki will do whatever it takes to protect her family and bring down Diane, so pointing Talia’s investigative report in this new direction will be helpful.
