The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Ashland Frames Newmans for Own Murder – Adam Helps with Fake Death & Evidence

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) may frame the Newmans for his own murder, so Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may help with Ashland’s fake death and evidence. Let’s take a closer look at Ashland’s situation, his only ally and some crucial clues.

For starters, Ashland is on the verge of reaching rock bottom.

As Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) pointed out, Ashland is DEAD in the business world and to anyone with any scruples!

Now that Ashland has lost his love, his company, his reputation and the boy he once believed was his son, what’s really left for him?

Ashland could just disappear, but why would he simply do that when he could get some revenge as he goes?

We also know that Adam and Ashland have had multiple conversations that highlight their desire for payback.

It’d be weird for nothing to come of that now. The show set up that alliance for a reason, so they’re probably going to follow up on it.

That brings us to Adam telling Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) it’s best she doesn’t know what he’s planning and then breaking up with her, which is what he’s going to do.

Doesn’t that sound like someone who’s trying to shield the woman he loves from the fallout of whatever he’s got in store?

When you put all that together, Y&R may plan to do that murder mystery they’ve been hinting at for months – but with a twist.

Ashland is in the prime position to fake his death and pin this on the Newmans with Adam’s assistance.

As Ashland suggests to Victoria and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) in the July 14 episode, the most dangerous man is one who has been stripped of everything.

Victor knows that revenge is still coming, but what can Ashland do in retaliation – especially with his ally Adam out of Newman Enterprises?

This is bigger than the company at this point.

Since Ashland is dead in terms of life as he knew it, he might as well make it look like he’s dead for real and blame the Newmans.

Adam has been framed for murder by Victor before, so here’s his opportunity to return the favor.

We can’t forget about the time Victor faked his own death and let Adam think he was responsible either!

Victor straight-up threatens to kill Ashland in that same July 14 episode, so this has to be building somewhere.

Victoria, Nick and even Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) could land on the suspect list, too.

Adam may protect Sally by dumping her and protect himself by helping Ashland pull this off.

Throw in a good dose of revenge on the Newman family that refused to respect Adam and we’ve got the makings of a great exit story for Ashland.

Of course, Ashland’s death may look legit at first. There’s even a chance Ashland’s plot could go wrong and leave him truly dead.

Regardless, it certainly makes sense for Ashland to want to fake his death and set the Newmans up as suspects with Adam in his corner.

Ashland will land behind bars in the July 15 episode, so that could give him even more of a motive to want Victoria and Victor to face that same fate.

Once Ashland’s out on bail, he may put the rest of his vengeful plan in motion with Adam and leave several Newmans in hot water of their own!

The Young and the Restless spoilers say some exciting developments are still to come in Ashland’s storyline, so stay tuned.
