Y&R fans know that Chelsea is Johnny’s biological mother, so she pushed for visitation in 2020.
Billy fought back hard at the time and insisted Victoria was Johnny’s only mom, so Chelsea ultimately dropped the idea.
However, Chelsea has undergone some mental health changes since then and is still working on being the best version of herself.
Now Chelsea understands that she has to respect boundaries, but that doesn’t change the fact that she brought Johnny into this world.
There’s always going to be a connection that Chelsea would like to explore.
Chelsea suggested Johnny and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) should hang out once Johnny was back in town.
It’s obvious the boys are friends, so Billy isn’t trying to keep Chelsea away from Johnny.
Although Johnny and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) have been away at boarding school, that was never supposed to be a permanent solution.
Just like they’ve done with Connor, Y&R may bring Johnny back when the plot calls for it.
Chelsea is growing closer to Billy, so there’s a chance for this Johnny issue to resurface.
That’s especially true if something comes up on the podcast that Chelsea and Billy are going to co-host together.
There’s the potential for Billy to offer Chelsea a bigger role in Johnny’s life.
Billy could cause Victoria to feel threatened when it comes to role as Johnny’s adoptive mom.
Of course, Billy would defend Chelsea and argue that she’s not trying to intrude or take over.
The closer Billy grows to Chelsea through the podcast, the more likely he’ll be to side with her over Victoria or anyone else.
This Johnny angle seems like a wise one to revisit since it’d create some good conflict.
Billy and Victoria could spar if he lets Chelsea take on a bigger role than Victoria is comfortable with, so some mama drama could be brewing!
