The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) may stay overnight at Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) place. Will Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) get pushed to her breaking point and bring some new rules to the table?
Y&R fans know Billy stayed by Chelsea’s side when she was at her lowest point.
Billy promised to see Chelsea through this mental health crisis, so he’ll want to keep that promise.
Of course, Chelsea’s recovery could come with a few bumps in the road.
Although Chelsea is doing better now, there may be setbacks and times when she could use extra support.
If Chelsea finds herself needing someone to talk to, she may turn to Billy for help – especially if Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) is unavailable.
It’s easy to imagine Chelsea struggling with her emotions and calling Billy to make sure she doesn’t sink too low again.
Unfortunately, Lily may end up feeling like Billy is constantly rushing off to be with Chelsea.
Although Lily will remain sympathetic to Chelsea’s situation, that doesn’t mean she’ll want to share her boyfriend in any kind of meaningful way.
Nevertheless, Y&R has given Chelsea an apartment set, which opens the door to some intriguing possibilities.
Billy could ultimately stay overnight on the sofa as Chelsea’s insurance policy or even just fall asleep there without giving Lily the heads-up.
Billy will inevitably keep making excuses to focus all his attention on Chelsea, but Lily may think it’s time to hand off his duties to someone else.
Lily might argue that it’s necessary for the sake of their relationship and try to set some firmer boundaries.
However, Billy isn’t going to like it if Lily makes new rules and tries to interfere with his vow to support Chelsea.
This is the kind of thing that could drive an even bigger wedge and leave Lily’s future with Billy in jeopardy.
