The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) rebellious streak could spell trouble. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) may fume over her COO’s risky behavior change now that Billy is focusing on his regular job again.
Billy chose to step away from the podcasts and devote himself to being the best COO he can be.
However, that decision could backfire now that Billy doesn’t have a creative outlet where he can take risks.
Billy was distracted and making mistakes due to how much time he was spending on the podcasts, but at least he had another job to gamble with.
The podcasts allowed Billy to explore new ideas without any real concerns or consequences.
Since Y&R fans know Billy is a risk-taker at his core, what happens when he starts taking risks as COO instead?
Lily expects Billy to make fewer mistakes now that he’s concentrating on his corporate role, but he could actually make more of them.
This might turn into a situation where Billy wants to go bigger and bolder!
Billy may feel like he has something to prove and engage in more dangerous behavior from now on.
The fact that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is taking gambles as Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) COO could be a factor, too.
Lily has been supportive of some of Nate’s risky plans – like the music festival he keeps pushing.
It could lead to conflict if Billy makes risky pitches of his own and gets shot down.
If Billy takes gambles anyway and puts Chancellor-Winters in jeopardy, it’s going to cause major problems.
Lily may eventually wonder if it was a bad idea to have Billy step away from those podcasts. At least Billy’s wild side was somewhat tamed by them.
Now Billy may let his rebellious streak take over and put the company in danger as a result.
The moment Billy walked away from those podcasts, it doomed him for another round of fighting with Lily over his COO work.
There’s just no chance this is going to work out quite like Lily hopes!
